Jonas Marc Style Studio 544 — Local services in Conway

Wow, wow, wow. This is a fantastic salon. I was referred here by an out-of-state stylist because i was dealing with an extremely tangled, increasingly matted knot that included half of my hair on the top half of my head. Having worked as a nurse in long term care setting, i Have seen my hair share of matted, knotted heads. I have de-tangled my fair share personally and i am proud to say, i never let a patient lose their hair. Unfortunately with where the tangled matt was on my head, there was nothing i could do to help myself. I was in a horrible situation due to where the knot was located…it would have had to have been buzzed or VERY closely shorn on the top front of my head. (Everyone remembers what happened to Felicity, right?) Finding a stylist willing to take on such a situation on one’s head is harder than you might think.

Prior to finding these goddesses i was refused at two other salons, picked over by a braid artist and almost succumbed to letting the man in my life spray wd-40 in it. I tried to fly someone in from Atlanta and got scammed out of 500 dollars. I contacted two out of state salons who provide dentangling services one qioted me 750/hour and the other isnt even available until Apr 24 for consult. i guess i can cancel that now!

Because of my prior experience with this hair scenario in others, i was aware of just how bad this knot was. As if someone styled my hair in a pool drain and then put the whole mess in an oven and shrunk it down. it wad the hardest most dense knot possible for baby fine, caucasian hair could find itself in. i was pretty certain it was going to have to be tragically hacked. then a friend of a friend sent me to Jonas Marc.

the salon manager had me hopeful from our first conversation. she reassured me and seemed confident she had the right stylist for me. boy did she ever. Inoa was a freaking ANGEL. The guardian angel of my hair…I’m not gonna lie i was really worried when i first sat down but, i put my faith in her and i could feel that she knew that. She made it her personal mission to save what was savable of my hair. She has great calming, steady energy and all the girls who work in the salon have great vibes. I love being around girl's girls who enjoy supporting and helping each other. The other ladies were happy to jump in and help, offer advice, share products…it was just really nice to be around. Nobody took any offense to my trepidation and they were all sooo SO understanding.

I definitely lost some length and density but, with the situation my hair was in, i am drop to my knees thankful. They even blessed me with a free shampoo and blow out service again in a week. In my opinion, the prices are extremely reasonable AND i saw nothing but really happy, satisfied clients leaving. It’s super clean, super accommodating and super good vibes … Lots of beauty happening here. Insides as well as out. This is the salon you have been looking for.

It was okay, the staffs are friendly and they answered every question I have but I think the staff we got is not that experienced. I don't want to say her name for her sake, she just need more practice she'll be better.

I know I'm asking too much getting in, on their appointment only day. I called them if they can accept walk in and they did. They did Keratine for my mom, It worked a little but not really, next day my mom's hair is went back to how it is but it's soft so I gave them that.

I asked for butterfly cut and I am not really satisfied, at first it was great but I see some of the cuts that are sloppy when I got home.

My son is the most unhappy, He's very sensitive with his hair style, teenagers. We found someone who finally cut his hair to his liking and I tried to ask them to just it shorter here with the same hair style but to our disappointment, my son hair looks like a girls hairstyle and it's super sloppy. You can see where it was all cut. It's all chopped up, even from faraway. So we decided to get to the original barber who did his hairstyle before and thank God , she managed to fix it and my son is super happy.

I don't hate this place still despite everything, location is awesome, the place is so clean, staffs all friendly. I love that they have products for clients who have conditions. Just want to say I hope they train them more, or atleast someone is guiding them. If the staff is inexperienced with what the client wants I hope she talk to the other staff and get some insight if she really wants to do it, at least ask the other staff advice and check her work. You'll be great, just more practice!

Lastly, we spend $400 for the 3 of us, with all the disappointment, this is the most disappointing. If you're asking if we're coming back, we might not.

2 star for clean location and...

I am new to the state and I have to start all over to search for a talented hairdresser. I went to a place in Myrtle Beach, but the independent operator/shop owner is away a lot on vacations and ignores messages for days and then unable to make an apt for a month, besides, I wasn't happy with my color anyway. So, in my hunt to search out a new hairdresser, and read a lot of reviews on line, I called JONAS MARC STYLE STUDIO in Conway. I spoke to a pleasant receptionist, IVY who scheduled me for a consultation in the same week with MELISSA and informed me if I felt reluctant to perform the service from her, then I could reschedule with another. I arrived with overgrowth of gray and white roots and bleached out yellowing and gold hair. After discussing my options and what was best affordable for my budget with MELISSA, we decided to go with a color to allow for my grays to grow out. MELISSA did not frown upon my budget and offered me a few options to best suit my needs. MELISSA made me feel so comfortable with her friendly demeanor, her color, haircut and products knowledge, and attentiveness was by far the best experience that this ex hairdresser (we are the most pickiest) from many, many years ago has received. MELISSA is a team player and I witnessed her help towards fellow employees in the shop. She is an asset to the shop. The shop is filled with warm and friendly employees, who help out each other and probably one of the few that I have walked into and did not feel uncomfortable from caddy staff and clientele.
