Dollar Tree — Local services in Cookeville

Employees at this location are not friendly at all, they act like they hate their job. They also don't seem to like it when you ask for help. I'm not a rude customer, I always say please & thank you, but here it doesn't seem to matter. I passed an elderly lady on her way out one day and she asked if they were always that unfriendly in there...I said unfortunately yes. I will not go to this store location again. On another note...what is supposed to be a cheap store is now selling some items that are more expensive than Walmart! Yeah, I may just quit going to dollar tree period if their prices are gonna continue to go up, yet keep that $1 on the window So I went against my better judgement and went in the dollar tree on Washington Ave to get 1 item I needed and forgot to stop at a different one in town. Wasted my time giving it a try! I walked up to the register with my 1 item, the employee was so busy (loudly) complaining about her job to an older man, she didn't even bother to notice if anyone was at the register waiting. I waited a couple minutes, then walked out and left my item behind. This is the WORST dollar tree I have ever been...

Nice clean brand new store. So many $1.25 items to choose from. Organized, well stocked, and easy to navigate. Employees are courteous and ask if I'm finding everything okay. Cashiers are friendly and efficient. Great store hours. Excellent location. The only downfall is the parking lot. When pulling into the parking lot (if you are coming from town) it's a strange angle in which you need to turn. It is also hard to see the parking lot entrance at nighttime. Lots of parking though once...

It's just like any other dollar tree. I like how they expanded their craft selection. They lose a star because nothing is $1 there anymore. Change your name to $1.25 store, and maybe people will be less pissed. Funny how they have price checkers now in a store where everything should...
