This was an amazing meditative experience as I volunteered to help "draw the circles". Before the start of the walk, 'Bear' as he is fondly called, the person who started this 11 years ago, talked about the events in his life that started him to draw these circles in the sand. The theme of these practice is LOVE - share love and show love to everyone you meet. It takes about 30 minutes to completely finish the 'walk'. It's a wonderful touch that they have you pick your 'dream stone' when you start your walk. The circles are erased when the tide comes in showing you that nothing is permanent in life, just be in the present.

This is one of the most spiritual events I have ever participated in. You feel like a part of something bigger than yourself. The art is beautiful, nature, the kind and generous people that facilitate all add up to something I will always treasure We always stay at Sunset Oceanfront Lodging. You can walk to it from there. I have experienced this 5 times. Each day has a different theme. It is held at a public beach. It is free. Children and pets are welcome. Do yourself a favor and give yourself a beautiful experience.

I’d wanted to experience this for years. We were in Bandon for a few nights, so got to walk the Circles in the Sand two mornings. Both were beautiful. The dedication and artistry of the Circles crew is amazing. Thank all so very much for a truly wonderful memory. We ordered the sweatshirt and long sleeved shirt with the Circles logo and look forward to advertising on our Portland walks.

I met Denny some years ago before he started doing scheduled draws. We had went to the beach and there was one circle, thought it was pretty cool, walked it, later ran into him there and chatted a bit. Several years later was down at the beach and he had a large draw, it was amazing. I have gone down to Bandon on multiple occasions at this point to walk the circles and get a Denny hug, oh ya, hes a hugger. People come from all over the country now to walk the circles. Not long ago I read an article from a German magazine on Denny and his circles in the sand. If you get the chance, go, you will not be...
