I'm thrilled to share my review of the local Aldi. My rating for this Aldi location is four out of five stars, and here's why. First and foremost, the value for money at Aldi is simply unmatched. Their prices on everyday groceries, from fresh produce to pantry staples, are consistently lower than other local supermarkets. The quality of their exclusive brands is also surprisingly high, and I've found many products that I now prefer over their name-brand counterparts. The store is always clean, well-organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciate the simplicity of the layout, which makes it easy to find what I need and get in and out quickly. The weekly "Aldi Finds" section is also a major highlight, as it offers a fun and ever-changing selection of seasonal items and unique products at great prices. However, there are two key issues that prevent me from giving this store a perfect five-star rating. The first is the long lines. On any given day, there are only one or two checkout lanes open, and the lines can stretch to the back of the store, especially during peak hours. This can make what should be a quick shopping trip feel unnecessarily long and tedious. The second issue is the pressure placed on cashiers to check out customers at an incredibly fast pace. I understand that this is a company-wide policy to increase efficiency and keep prices low, but it creates a stressful and unpleasant experience for both the cashier and the customer. The cashiers are constantly under pressure to scan items at a lightning-fast rate, and it feels as though we're being rushed out the door. It's not the cashier's fault; they are clearly just trying to meet their performance metrics. I often feel rushed and flustered, struggling to keep up with the speed and load my groceries back into my cart before the next person's order is on the belt. If Aldi could find a way to improve their checkout processâperhaps by opening more lanes during busy times and relaxing the intense pressure on their employeesâthis would be the best grocery store in Corbin, hands down. Until then, it's a great store that's just shy...
Read moreI donât leave reviews but I must for this store. The lady cashier was so mean and hostile. She asked me cash or card. I couldnât hear. I am 78 years old and itâs a little hard for me. So I said, Iâm sorry. She said, I am too. I said, I didnât hear you. She repeated cash or card. I said it depends on how much it is. She then said. I donât have time for this. I said I am sorry. I will just use a card then. So then a lady behind me asked her why she is so rude to me and she said . âI am not even from kentucky. I am from a different state. Iâm a transplant here. I guess kentucky people are too sensitive. â I wanted to hurry and leave, but I left and forgot my bananas and sent my husband in. She was nasty to him and said âwe close in 15 minutesâ in which he replied my wife forgot all of her order. Can I run and get a gallon of juice. She said âyeah, but we close in 15 minutesâ. But, All he was doing was getting what we forgot. I donât understand. Are they timed or something? I was just humiliated. About the store, prices were high. But so is everywhere these days. And the...
