Had a couple hours to kill before picking up a load so stopped in here for something to eat. From the looks of things I was not sure of what I was going to get or how it would taste since I travel so much I figured why not and placed an order. I ordered the 10" Mushroom Philly.
Service was pretty fast. Only waited about 10 minutes. I opened the wrapper around the sub and saw a whole bunch of steak. Good sign. Then I took a bite. Oh My this was awesome. This was a hidden Treasure here in Corbin Kentucky. This place really knew how to make a philly Sub. Considering I am from the part of the country The Philly came from I was really surprised at how good and tasty it was. I had bought the 10" to eat half now and half later but it was so good there was no later. I ate it all now.
Really if you have not been here please check out the gem of a place. Really worth the time and money. Service is pretty good and prices are right for what you get. Hope I get a chance to come back as there are other things I want to try.
Thanks again for a delightful meal folks. Keep on keepin' on. Hope to cross back that...
Read moreTried the grilled chicken sandwich. Ordered two subs but they aren't offered as meals, so we had to buy two large fries separate. Fries come in large or small, and the drinks were $3 each so we decided not to order any drinks. Total comes to $28 for two "10 inch subs" and two "large" fries. Alright, maybe taste justifies the price. Got home opened up the subs to find an overload of mayo, lettuce, and hard tomatoes covered in pepper. So we got two subs and I usually split mine with our kids, but only one person was able to eat any of it because of the contents on the sub. Normally my husband isn't a picky eater but even he said it was an overload of mayo and lettuce. The tomatoes were inedible because of the amount of pepper so he threw them away, the bread was hard which made it difficult to chew and caused the lettuce along with mayo to keep falling off as he tried to eat. He ended up throwing the last half of the second sub in the garbage because it was simply gross. The fries were great and worth the 2.85. Definitely do NOT recommend this place for their subs, that charged...
Read morePaid $16 for a 10 in “the works” cheesesteak, and an order of fried pickles. the pickles were floppy, and the ranch served with them is what you would expect from a school cafeteria. Speaking of school cafeteria’s, Corbin High school makes a better pizza sauce than this place. i’m almost offended that i was charged restaurant prices for the $1.80 meal that I would have been served in high school. It’s also worth nothing that the woman running the register, and conveniently the grill, complained to her coworker very loudly that me and my girlfriend had came in and that she had to serve us. I haven’t came across many places that both the food, and the service were this bad. Brooklyn Brothers Pizzeria, Applebees (sadly), and even subway has a better cheesesteak. Bottom line, skip this one. it genuinely blows my mind that this place is even in business.
I just so happen to also have pretty good word that they have a crazy roach problem, food...
