Lake Hill Motors & Marine — Local services in Corinth

This review is about a year late, but I have no reason to believe that Lake Hills Motors has changed since then. I was looking for a specific new Honda street bike, so I emailed (via Honda's dealer website) my nearest dealer (in Starkville) for a quote. What I got back was a full MSRP price and no other numbers, which made it not much of a "quote". Several other dealers in the state acted like they'd never heard of the bike (CBR500R) and didn't have any, and didn't offer to try to get one. Dan McElwaine at Lake Hill was different. Right out of the gate he quoted me $300 off MSRP. He was personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. No, he didn't have the bike in stock, but he could easily get it in maybe a week. After talking to him a bit, he suggested a $300 deposit, whereas most other dealers I've done business with want about twice that. I put the deposit down on a Wednesday morning, expecting the bike to take a week or a little longer. Dan left a message on my answering machine the following Monday, the bike was already there. I got a fantastic price on my trade-in with no BS or dodging or bickering. Dealing with Lake Hills was almost like dealing with an uncle. No pressure, relaxed, easy, and honest. I won't even bother with a different dealer from now on, Lake Hills is the kind of business I prefer to do...

I purchased a new Honda Shadow Phantom from Lakehill Motors Spring 2015. I re-call came out for my Honda. I waited a few weeks for all the parts to come in and the “re-call rush” to settle down. I brought the bike in Tuesday after Labor Day. I had no appointment but had planned to leave it most of the day. When I returned, the bike had not moved from where I parked it. I was told that Lakehill Motors does not have the part. Michael in Service informed me they did not know when Honda would ship more parts to them. It did not make sense to me. I went to speak with one of the owners who explained they only received two replacement parts and they were put on the new machines so Lakehill can sell them. I was told by Dewayne he did not know when Honda would ship more parts. The end of September or later…..he thought. I took the bike home and called Honda C/S right away. Honda has the parts!!!! They told me all the dealer needs to do is call Honda and they will ship out the parts. WHAT!!!! The next day, I drove to Boliver TN to Joe’s Cycle Shop, who had the parts in stock. Twenty minutes later my bike is repaired and road worthy.. I feel Lakehill Motors is interested in one thing, selling units. Not helping the people who bought product from them. Awesome experience, I'm from North Alabama and heard this was the place to buy an ATV, and they are right. Tremendous selection, they give you the best price up front-no haggle, and my sales guy, James, was knowledgeable and helpful throughout and after the sale. Intended to buy a traditional 4 wheeler, but after being able to ride several makes and models of ATVs & UTV's, wound up buying a Honda Pioneer 700 side by side. It was the right choice for me & my family. With the opportunity to ride whatever I wanted with no pressure, I was able to get the perfect machine. I feel like if I had gone somewhere else, I might have made the wrong choice. Definitely worth the drive, even the financing was a breeze. Not so much after you left there, ..& came back with an oil consumption problem. Put new engine in the 2016 Honda Pioneer & did the same thing. Finally, sold it earlier this year. Ignored the problem when it was...
