I recently had the pleasure of shopping for a new appliance at CLT Wholesale, and I have to say, my experience was well worth the drive across state lines from South Carolina, all thanks to Austin, the employee who assisted me.
From the moment I walked in, Austin greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine willingness to help. I mentioned I was looking for a new refrigerator, and I was immediately impressed by how knowledgeable Austin was about the various models and their features. He took the time to understand my needs—whether it was energy efficiency, space, or budget—and guided me through options that would best suit my requirements.
What stood out the most was Austin's patience. I had a lot of questions about features like smart connectivity, the differences between French door vs. side-by-side models, and even energy ratings. He not only answered everything clearly but also gave me time to think things over without pushing for a sale. His approach was genuinely focused on making sure I was comfortable with my choice.
Once I made my decision, Austin smoothly handled the paperwork, explained the delivery process, and reassured me about warranty and return policies. It was refreshing to work with someone who wasn’t just trying to make a quick sale but genuinely cared about my satisfaction.
Overall, my appliance shopping experience at CLT Wholesale was fantastic, and Austin made the long drive across state lines totally worth it. His professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor made a stressful task much more enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for Austin if you’re ever...
Read moreI was told there was a zero turn lawnmower waiting for me and I offered to pay over the phone before I even got there but I was told no it’s OK just pay for it when you get here. I got there and it was already sold to somebody else. I had to drive an hour just to get there and cancel my other appointments for the day so I can haul the mower home, just to finally get there and find out it was already sold after someone promised to hold it for me. They told me that they had one other John Deere zero turn mower that they could sell me but they wouldn’t even let me look at it .. because they didn’t like my “attitude.” They even stated that there’s no guarantee that the mower will work, trying to convince me not to buy it. I had every right to be disappointed that they sold the mower they promised me, after all the trouble I had to go throigh..These people are very unprofessional! (Chris is the only decent person there). Not worth the discounts! The statements in the response below are inaccurate. I clearly notified them that I was running late and was not informed that it would be sold to anyone else. God as my witness, I never made any threats. All I said was that an attorney would back me up that our text messages are considered a written/verbal contract. But I’m not going to go back-and-forth. It’s a shame that the employee’s inaccurate account takes precedence over my account of what happened, and this is the response that I get. All I know is I have the text messages to prove my story. This proves the lack of professionalism that I was...
Read moreOverall, a great experience with their staff. Everyone was kind. They have a huge assortment of appliances and pallets. The prices were reasonable and selection vast.
This was my first time in a store with pallets so I learned a valuable lesson. I did not ask the correct questions or have the knowledge needed to make the best decision which is on me. The reason I share is to make sure others are informed if someone is in my shoes.
I purchased a grill (it was on a pallet, so it was wrapped) today which I assumed was new. It had dings/bent sides which didn't bother me, but I did not think anything about it until the nice gentlemen disassembled part of it to load in my car. I opened it and realized it was fairly used. I got home and it does not work properly. There are no returns. I purchased it for $99 less than retail which I would have purchased a new one for the difference if I would have known. It definitely was not worth the price I paid. I was hoping to get at least three years out of it, but that is doubtful. Again, my fault for not understanding what questions to ask or how the business works. I hope this helps one person.
I appreciate how nice and helpful the staff was during my visit. This is not a negative on the company or staff, more a lesson to help others.
EDIT: Thank you, Austin. I greatly appreciate it and will reach out when I return...
