KJ's Fresh Market — Local services in Cornell

this is the ONLY grocery store within 30 mins of me. they have an extremely limited fresh fruit/veggie area. they do not carry much for variety in anything or sizes variations. Store has no competition, so the prices are high as well. they are open from 7a-9p, usually, unless theres a storm, no business or dont feel like bein open then they just close down & put a note on glass door. I honestly prefer to do my greater shopping in Chippewa or Lady Smith (both round 40 mins away) Iv never had ice cream melt or dairy spoil...

A super nice store, handy for elderly and those in area cabins and campgrounds. Great sales on meats and a wonderful man in meat dept. willing to explain how to cut up whole roasts in bag. This person went out of his way to help and explain different cuts of meat.I can cut up a deer blindfolded but not beef.Yes, the prices are a bit higher than the big box store but the price of gas to travel balances out the costs. KJ's is a nice little grocery store. I only have one issue with this place and that is they don't make enough food to keep their hot case full. For example Wednesdays they make spaghetti and meatballs and Thursdays they make swedish meatballs, but they only make enough to keep it full until noon.
