I am new to the area and only recently started shopping at calls, however iāve noticed some things that i donāt see in other places, and before you start thinking they are good things they are not!!! the store is so dirty, the ceilings in some places seriously look like they are rotting! and the floors are dirty especially in the dairy and freezer places. how do you not see these things as a business owner?? and secondly iāve noticed that the customer service is really good most times however the employee to employee interactions are horrendous. i think the woman iām thinking of name is val? sheās short with glasses. i see her ordering these poor kids around like she is a drill sergeant, and not only is she degrading them but she also just walks around the store with such a demeanor that portrays āiām better then everyoneā i understand having to be somewhat hard on the teens to keep them busy but this is just absurd. and iām not sure her name but she seems like a general manager, sheās also incredibly rude, ive observed employees speaking to customers but then this woman just gets mad and shuts the conversation down. so much for ācustomer service is our number 1 priorityāš.
I would like to point out one good thing Iāve noticed about Calls Shop n Save, and that is the produce department. The employees who work in there are always keeping busy and are very polite, asks me how my day is every time i walk in!
All in all i think this store needs some serious...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI preferred going to this grocery store because it's smaller and usually less crowded than other Hannaford stores. That being said, the kids and young adults that work here are the RUDEST and unhelpful bunch that I've ever encountered. They will walk right into you. They don't say hello, or excuse me...nothing. You best get out of their way because they aren't going to move for you to even get by. It's awful. The other thing I need to bring attention to is the dairy section. Often there is air inside the front packages of cheese, yogurt, milk, etc. That means that bacteria is growing within that package. The items do not stay cold enough to store those items in a safe manner. I don't know how many times I've had to throw just purchased items out because they were spoiled. I haven't been to the store for a while because of those things. If I do go again, it will be for one or two items...and they won't be meat or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt calls tonight and am usually use to polite professional staff there, but not today. The cashier (Denise) didnāt say hello or ask if I found everything okay which is unusual but is what it is. I didnāt hear the her ask if I needed a bag so I didnāt respond and she said āyes? No?ā In an obviously irritated manor and when I apologized and said I didnāt hear her she said nothing back and proceeded to not speak to me for the remainder of the transaction. No āhave a good nightā or ādo you need your receiptāā¦nothing. I donāt expect to people to be overly joyful while working but acting cold and irritated that Iām there is unnecessary. Definitely not the person I would have on the front line working with customers. Hoping the next...
