I rented a fatboy ebike with my boyfriend on Monday May 30th in Cornwall, CT. This was our first experience with ebikes. The owner and his daughter of the Covered Bridge Electric Bikes were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable about bikes, the area and the trails. They fitted us for a bike, showed us how to use the fatboy ebikes, let us ride down the street to get comfortable with the bike before we started since this was our first time and answered any questions we had. They also gave us a map and told us which trails we could do in our allotted time we were renting. We were not familiar with the area and we found the map very useful and the trail was fantastic.

Both my boyfriend and I are in our late 50s early 60s. My boyfriend does not like to exercise or ride bikes. I love to ride bikes. This is something we could try together.

We rode the ebikes for 2 hours. We road along the river on a dirt road then we rode on pavement as well. The fatboy bikes could handle everything and you felt very secure. We even took the ebikes up these massive hills to see how they performed and they did great.

It was an extremely hot and humid day and the trail along the river was shaded and cool. This would be a perfect summer activity on a hot day.

Both my boyfriend and I had a fantastic day riding the ebike. The fatboy ebikes were excellent. My boyfriend would definitely do it again. He had so much fun using the electric bike he preferred using the motor than pedaling but if that is what it takes to get him on a bike it was worth it. I love to bike and even I had a blast on the ebike. I absolutely loved the ebike and will be purchasing one this summer from this shop.

I would highly recommend visiting the Covered Bridge Electric Bike Shop and renting a bike from them. No matter what age you are, or what shape you are in you will have a fantastic time on the fatboy ebike and looking at the fantastic scenery.

I stumbled upon covered bridge e bikes last summer while a friend and I were riding our motorcycles in the area. I chatted with Meg and found her very personable. I returned the next spring looking for service on my four year old e bike that I purchased online from a different company. I spoke to Bob and found him just as friendly. It became apparent that my repair was going to take more time than I was willing to wait for due to parts that needed to be ordered. I was very impressed with the bikes that they had for sale and began to ask many questions about the latest technology advancements. Bob was fully engaged in helpful conversation , understanding where I was coming from and what my particular needs were. I am a senior rider who had to quit several years ago due to an injury to my hip. I found e bikes to be my way back to my favorite form of exercise. There was no sales pressure at all. Just a couple guys talking about our mutual love of cycling. They were happy to let me try out several bikes in a perfect setting right outside the shop. Flat pavement, slight incline, and steep hill all within half a mile from the front door. With no traffic. There is even a rail to trail dirt path just across the street. I found the perfect bike at a price that I still can’t believe. It was past closing time and Meg stayed late and got all the financing done with phone calls to the finance people and all the logistics involved. What a great team at covered bridge e bikes. I had a great experience--actually, experiences--during the shopping and buying experience from Covered Bridge. The first time I visited, I stated that I was just looking. Even so, proprietors Bob and Meg encouraged me to take a ride on the bike I was hovering around. Then they recommended I take rides in the two possible frame sizes, so off I'd go, travelling down the stunning path just outside the door from their lovely shop. Each ride gave me the freedom to really get to know the bike, on my own, relaxed. Once I eventually settled on my selection (during my second trip there), the bike was carefully adjusted to match my size. Seat, handlebars, brake levers--all were set for my best comfort. Of course, they also provided info about ebike ownership's best practices, and guided me fully through the process. They work hard to make sure that customers are fully informed, and fully happy, with the significant purchase of a modern ebike. This all happened a few weeks ago. And yes, the bike feels great, and is exactly what I wanted. So, highest recommendation from me. I felt very comfortable with them. They felt trustworthy and made the whole process an enjoyable part of taking possession of this most liberating form of outdoor exploration....
