The Pink House — Restaurant in Cornwall

A truly disappointing experience! My family and I went to the Pink House to celebrate my 50th birthday and were looking forward to a special night out. It then took an hour and half for our food to arrive, due to someone--not clear if it was our server or the kitchen--losing our order. This was unfortunate, but could have easily been remedied (we have worked in restaurants and understand that these things happen) had there been either a sincere effort to make up for it (including a credit off our bill or free dessert, drinks...something) or exceptional food. Instead we were offered a weak apology, continued mediocre service, and unremarkable food. Both the smash burger and the fried chicken were undercooked, the Caesar salad was boring and small, and the fries were sub par. On the menu they are called "Very Special Fries" which leads one to expect something truly crispy, flavorful, thoughtfully made. They were none of these things. Making good fries is not that hard and should have been the low-hanging fruit for this restaurant, but they were one in a series of underwhelming moments that included the food, service, a boring cocktail and a weirdly small yet very expensive...

From the moment we walked into the Pink House in West Cornwall, CT, we felt genuinely welcome. Michael greeted us warmly at the door setting the tone for the evening. It was clear the team was eager to host us and our family who is visiting. We sat at the Sinatra table which made the experience feel even more unique. Our server John was incredibly attentive ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the evening. It was also a delight to see familiar faces like Ashley, Justin, Daragh, and Chef Gabe. Both Gabe and Marina stopped by to say hello which made the night feel even more special.

The food was nothing short of sensational the special fries were absolutely outstanding the beet salad was fresh and vibrant, and the pork ribs were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The Spanish dry cider was a delicious pairing that elevated the meal even further.

Dinner at The Pink House was (once again) an absolute delight. The menu celebrates elegant simplicity, featuring beautifully executed seasonal dishes that let top-quality ingredients shine through rich, perfectly balanced flavors. Each bite was subtle, thoughtful, and full of flavor — the leek soup, trout, and kale salad were all incredible!

The service was exceptional: gracious, attentive, and seamless. The ambiance struck the ideal note for a Saturday night—cozy, elegant, and warmly inviting. Marina, the host, brings it all together with her genuine warmth and charm, making the experience feel both personal and memorable.
