Harbor Freight — Local services in Corvallis

Went in to buy several items. Noticed there was an item that I wanted with a marked down price. I carefully read the description on the tag, so as to be certain it matched the item I wanted. It was. It was actually a pretty detailed description of said item. Well when I went to check out, I noticed it rang up as being the original, full price. So I politely asked about it, and the woman at the counter seemed incredibly irritated that she had to do her job. So she had someone go check the price, and sure enough, I was correct. However, apparently because the computer had the original price, she had to call out a manager to override the price. The manager(middle aged guy with dark colored beard) came out and in his most disdainful demeanor, proceeded to refuse to honor the clearly posted price. For seemingly no other reason than because he was upset about being called out of his office and disturbed. What an absolutely dreadful experience. What a sad and pathetic little man that manager is. Clearly has some kind of complex, as the tiny little insignificant amount of power he weilds has somehow gone to his head.. shameful....

I would like to personally THANK store staff member Mariela. I'm from Beaverton and before making the 2 hour + trip for the following items; 2 sets of 1500lbs rated folding ATV ramps. 9 Drawer (White) tool chest. I called asked if they could verify that they did indeed have the items in stock at their location. Not only did she take the time to check inventory. She pulled the items and gave me a 24 hour window to get them. I came down first thing the next morning. Items were waiting and the young man working that morning, cheerfully offered to help load up my purchases.

The Beaverton location could learn a LOT from the staff at...

OK, I'll admit it... I love this place. I'm a regular guy, not a pro, but I do lots of projects around the house and many DYI/handyman projects for family and friends. The quality of tools from good to better to best has really improved. I'm really impressed, and most of the tools I've purchased are still working. I mean, really, how can I not be satisfied? I'm invested in DeWalt's battery platform, so I buy those tools elsewhere. However, a good 85% of my tools are from Harbor Freight. Overall, what's not to love? Give them a shot. They've really grown up to be...
