MOLD SPORTS FOUND IN MY SEAMOSS!!! And to my surprise, That was my last experience that I had at this herbal shop. Like always, after my purchase, I bought it home & placed it in the fridge. Then that evening I went to take my dose & it looked a bit different but tasted the same. In the middle of the night I felt sick & realized I had food poisoning, so I stayed home sick for 3 days. Upon the 4th day I opened the sea moss and realized, what looked funny on the 1st day, had grown into a fluffy mess of white mold. The site of it made me sick to my stomach, so I called the store to let them know what happened. The gentleman who answered said I could come back in & exchange it. I told him that I would like a refund because I could never put any food item from them in my system again. He said ok come in for a refund. No problem. I took a Lyft there the next day with my product & receipt only to be told by the same gentleman that their store doesnāt give refunds; so I asked him why did he tell me I could have one on the phone? His answer was, āThat was yesterday when you called.ā & pointed to the no refunds or exchanges sign, which I have no idea if it was there when I purchased the sea moss. He also said, āWow. This mustāve been from batch 90 or 94.ā He went on to tell me that he got in a fresh batch & I only had the option to exchange the same product. Why would I want to? I even offered to exchange for something else in the store, like wow vitamins, since itās not made by them. But once again I was told no & had no other option but to leave, out of $37 plus the $22 round trip for my car share ride. As a disabled veteran & retired chef, Iām applaud by the service I received from a business I was trying to support in my local community. I also believe that when youāre serving the public a food service item that food safety is the most important thing you could provide them. I even gave them a chance to redeem themselves with phone calls. Only not to have my calls returned. So after this disgusting experience, I called the health department who told me to call the department of agriculture. And I will. Iāve given them ample time to rectify the matter & they chose not to. Iāve also told every veteran searching for alternative methods of health products not to shop there for anything. Get your sea moss from Amazon or the herb shop in Conyers. SEAMOSS is amazing for almost anything. I know this from growing up in Barbados. Just donāt buy it from there. But if you take the chance, ask them where itās produced & packaged. And where is the expiration date because mine didnāt have one. Totally disgusting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBought sea moss twice and saying it was GREAT is an understatement. Bought sea moss 4 days ago tasted it as soon as I got home and the texture was TERRIBLE! Brought it back to the store looking to exchange. Owner/ manager or whoever says it canāt be exchanged because they canāt guarantee it will have the same texture or taste the same every time due to it being handmade. WHAT DOES IT BEING HANDMADE HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?! WHAT CAN YOU GUARANTEE?WHY ARE YOU SELLING A PRODUCT YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER?? Then to blatantly admit thatās why it canāt be exchanged is wild. If you buy a cake, catering, a meal you expect it to taste the same and if it doesnāt YOU FIX IT!! Horrible business mindset especially considering the price. Iām paying almost $30 for a product it should taste the same EVERY time get the recipe together or something. Lost a customer due to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve got to say, Iāve been around a few spots in ATL, Marietta, Duluth, Monroe, this shop beats the hell out of a majority of the herbal shops around Georgia. Their massive assortment of dry herbs in itself is absolutely phenomenal, not to mention their specific blends for your daily needs as well as just contemporary herbs such as sage, devils claw, butterfly pea, ashwaghanda, etc. Very welcoming and calming atmosphere, itās like as soon as you pass through the door way, whatever you were stressing about or whatever tensions sitting on your shoulders, itās immediately dissipated upon entry. Definitely if youāre in the Covington area of East GA definitely give this place a look if youāre looking for some ingredients or if your just the ambitious herbalist who wants to buy some quality herbs and ingredients for a very good...
