Waffle House — Restaurant in Covington

The most BS experience I’ve ever had. They said they’re doing no take out orders, in a completely empty restaurant, but i understood. Drove up there and tried to order to go. They said “No we can’t, did you read the sign” with attitude. So I responded, “Okay, well i’ll take a table for 3, and then I’ll take 3 to-go boxes at the end of my meal. I’ll wait for dine-in just like everyone else, I don’t mind”. After laughing and walking away and having me wait 15 minutes, she came back and said “Oh my manager said nah you can’t do that it’s basically the same thing”. So what’s the issue? If i’m waiting for the food like everyone else, why do I not have the ability to take my food to go. Absolutely ridiculous, restaurant workers get a little bit of power and think they can talk to or act however they want towards anyone. I’ve never seen such poor manners and bad business etiquette before. Sad to say, but i’m literally going across the street to mcdonald’s because atleast there they will serve you breakfast to go. What a joke this waffle house has become. I hope the 4 customers they had in the entire building don’t put a strain on the 6 workers standing there...

Service sucks here. The food was amazing. When we came in, our table was nasty, which is fine as it was busy on a Friday night 10/11/24. It took a couple of minutes for someone to notice we came in. It was around midnight, so it was possibly Saturday 10/12/24 now. They cleaned the table of course. The issue is my wife and I had ate 80% of our food with no drinks as we never got checked on after receiving our food. Had about 5 or 6 kitchen crew/services on their phone and laughing and chatting instead of checking up on customers. Server finally handed us our bill and we had to ask for a refill. Our first refill!!! We also asked for togo drinks since she never did her job and checked on us! We never received the togo drinks. The young servers need to work on customer service and check up them! We still tipped despite the terrible service. The melt had tasted good even though it wasn't assembled with care and they forgot things that comes with it. One being pickles, but I couldn't get the attention of the servers to ask for them. Easy fix but service is bad! We stopped here because of a high rating compared to others waffle houses but that...

Had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE first I walk in with my sister and boyfriend they stare at you and don’t speak... Then the one lady who did speak after we been standing at the counter wasn’t to nice... EVERYTIME I GO TO WAFFLE HOUSE I GET A “FRIED WAFFLE” But today Ms. Sherry told me they don’t and can’t do it at this location HOWEVER ITS BEEN DONE EVERYTIME I CAME TO THIS LOCATION! I could have been more understanding if it was BUSY ABOUT WHY THEY CANT MAKE IT BUT SHE JUST REFUSED TO DO IT AND IT IS SLOW. The VERY SAID PART IS I AM WAITING ON MY FOOD WHILE IM WRITING THIS REVIEW AND UPSET I HAD TO CHANGE WHAT I NORMALLY GET FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I AM HIGHLY UPSET AND WHEN I TOLD MS. I CORRECTED HER AND TOLD HER I USE TO SALE MY CUSTOMERS “FRIED WAFFLE” and I GET MY WAFFLES MADE THIS WAY AT EVERY WAFFLE...
