I love shopping locally at Dollar General! It has beat the national big box store six ways to Sunday in terms of keeping their shelves stocked with many of the products I use daily, particularly during the pandemic. Why struggle to find an associate--much less your desired items--elsewhere out of town when you can find friendly, helpful, and courteous staff in Chatom. Buying locally saves money, time, and gas while benefitting our community and neighbors by providing jobs, convenience, and availability. Read moreI love Dollar general stores in general, but the Creola dollar general has been very inconsistent with products and employees! I am retired and moved to Creola Al. I always love going to Creola store but now i never know if it’s open or closed. There is no management there no one to work, so now I go to Satsuma dollar general which is always Open. I would keep my money in my town if I could, I go aleast there 3times a week and spend over 50.00 dollars each trip . Read moreThis is an EXCELLENT Dollar General - it’s brand new, opened about a month ago and is actually just up the road, slightly North of where it use to be - the new store is much larger and actually has an expanded selection of items, especially in the food area! Dollar General or DG as we call it - began in Kentucky and was originally called J.L. Turner and Son. They have been around since 1939 - that’s a pretty good stretch!
