I took my son there recently to get some BP in at the batting cages. The employees were great. Had no problems getting tokens and asking them where the 40 mph cages were for little leaguers. They even had a deal where you could by 42 tokens (12 balls per token, 504 balls). HOWEVER, the 40 mph cages were pretty awful. Not only do they throw a lot of balls that are inside and outside the plate (as compared to strikes) but pretty much every ball thrown was too high for a kid to hit. Everything was up above his shoulders. I got in there next and the pitches were perfect for my height, but that doesn't make any sense, because why would you set 40mph pitches for the height of a grown man when 10 year olds are the one that see pitches at that speed. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of tokens that don't really help my son. Guess I'll have to use them up. Think the Nationals want a 30 year old with bad ankles? I hope they see this post and adjust at least one of the two 40mph cages for kids (HINT: Set it for someone 4 and...
Read moreI don’t write many reviews but I am disappointed in Night Hawk, which is a business I have given a lot of money to over the years. I have noticed lately that their actual hours do not correlate in any way to their website or their pro shop voicemail. I arrived tonight at 7:15 and was told they were closed, although they are reportedly open to 8:30. I have also had several other visits where they would only sell me a small bucket because they were closing imminently despite hours on their website saying otherwise. I have mentioned this to the staff more than once and they said they could not explain why their hours differ. Don’t waste your time coming here because you can’t count on them being open at night, which is ironic for a business calling...
Read moreWow - I asked if they had any demo TM clubs to hit and they said "yes, but it costs $10 and you get that credit if you end up buying the club". WHAAAAATTTTT? $10 to try a DEMO club when you are purchasing range balls to begin with? (which aren't cheap either). The epitome of nickel and diming the customer, and in this case, ensuring that I never buy anything from them ever.
In response to owner: I have been playing for 35 years and have worked at golf courses for 10, know a local pro of 30 years who I told this story to who literally "laughed out loud", and all I can say is if you have to pay the manufacturers for demo clubs, then you have a terrible relationship with them. Those clubs cost them less than $40 to produce...
