It’s a no frills gym with several equipment pieces, but no AC, just fans everywhere. Yosmany is a great trainer and gives enough individual attention to check the form and provide encouragement. The workouts are intense and effective, the amount of people per class can become overwhelming, so it gets crowded and sometimes there are not enough workout items, so you end up sharing. Their price, however, is astronomical (they claim the program is FREE), and their business tactic is dishonest, so be aware.
They really focus on this 6 week challenge where they go over one’s goals and the way to achieve them. They market it as a FREE program, with a deposit that is refundable. The deposit is $599 upfront, for 6 weeks, that is $100 per week (yikes!) Or $400 a month (more than equinox). They claim that if you don’t achieve your results you can have your money back. Totally UNTRUE! I asked for a refund, and the business manager said they don’t do them. Very deceitful. And I am not the only one, others said they have been told the same. They also don’t do makeups in case you missed some days, or can’t make it on a particular week. So you lose money. I asked for a week extra, they gave me one but said they don’t normally do this. I asked what is this “free” part and a “deposit” she said that it’s towards a discount of continuing the program. So with a discount it’s $60 a week, or $240 a month (not very affordable). Or you can just go to their gym at a discounted price of $60 a month, which is how much Paradise gym is without a discount and a much nicer place with air-conditioning. I just think they have shady marketing and misleading business tactic, and downright dishonest. And I fell for it! If you are going to promise a refund, then provide a partial refund if the person is dissatisfied after 3 weeks, especially if I am perfectly happy paying for the weeks I attended.
Also, the people who workout in the program are not the friendliest if you are not hispanic, and are cliquish. And most of them are. Just in case you are thinking of building friendships. If you speak Spanish fluently, you are good to go. But that is immaterial.
But I have nothing bad to say about Yosmany and his training. He was very professional...

Read moreI just finished the 6 week challenge and overall it was an excellent experience! I love the tools that they use, so that you can be reassured that progress is happening along the way, like how much fat you're losing and muscle you're gaining, and metabolic age.
The workouts are SO good! Always fun and challenging. And everyone at this gym is super nice. I just moved to Miami recently and don't speak much Spanish, and still felt like I was able to find a sense of community here.
Overall, 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to improve their health, get into better shape, or find a good fitness community.
Thank you Oneixy and everyone at One Punch for such a...
