I had to come to this hospital after breaking my leg at a nearby obstacle course. I ended up being here for 2 weeks. I live 2.5 hours away and I was so stressed out. I had to get 2 surgeries to stabilize then repair my leg. I give so much praise to the staff at this hospital. From the nurses to the cleaning staff and everyone in between. Nurses Brittney, Jasmine, Tiffany and Katrina were with me a lot and were so kind and explained everything that was going on. They were so understanding. The care techs were so amazing! Brenda and Elena, Paisley and Ana, big kudos to them because I was a mess at times AND I had to use the bathroom every 30 minutes. They were so patient, never making me feel like I was bothering them nor did I have to wait for help, even though the floor was really busy at times. The Dietary staff was amazing. Mia was so kind to me and did her best to make sure that my allergies were catered to. Every day she came in smiling and in a positive mood and her energy just lifted my spirits. The housekeeping staff was so amazing and went above and beyond. Big shout out to Marilyn who always made me smile, even when I was in pain. Drs Abdullah and Babaria were amazing and took time to listen to me and explain things to me. My PT staff was so great at encouraging me and helping me to get up and around. Thanks, Joey, especially!! The surgeons that worked on me, Dr. Cady and Dr. Moralle were top notch and did a great job letting me know exactly what was going to be happening and what the surgeries entailed. But even the OR staff, like the nurses and anesthesiologist were really, really great. I've had hospital experiences before. At bigger, more well know hospital systems. And they weren't great experiences. So I can't explain to you enough the gratitude that I have for everyone at this place. I pray the staff see this review because they ALL deserve to know how much of a difference the things they do make in people's lives. Especially mine. I'm home recovering now and I'm so grateful to be home but my time at Dade City Hospital (Advent Health) was a really great experience. You should all be proud of the jobs you do, no matter how small or how major. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making such a bad situation the best possible experience it could have been. You are appreciated!! (Side note: the food was actually...
Read moreI had a procedure today done at Adventhealth Dade City location. From signing in at the Front Desk, next to the Information Desk ( for Co-payment) then being called by a Nurse, introducing herself, to escort me to my Pre-Op room and inputting all my health info in her computer, and assisting me with gown, socks, hairnet, 3 blankets ( it was freezing in the room) but has to be, then entering my room was another Nurse introducing herself, to put in my IV, then the Anesthesiologist, introduced himself with his Assistant and told me step by step what he will be doing, then came my OR male nurse and again introduced himself and explained his part, then came my DR., ENT DR. DERBYSHIRE!!! Explained everything and made some marks on my left side of neck with his marker for procedure. I donât remember anything else! My husband was in the room the whole time until they wheeled me to the OR. When it was all over, I remember this lovely Recovery Nurse waking me up tapping my arm so lightly saying my name, Yvonne, Yvonne. I slowly opened my eyes to OR Nurses all around doing their jobs. I stayed there a few minutes, she then slowly helped me get dressed, gave me a breathing machine to blow into and take home to continue with all my in depth directions and paperwork. Canât forget, any drink I wanted, I chose cranberry lol. my husband came in and she wheeled me to my car. I PRAISE ALL THESE Members, from entering the Hospital to the end of my Procedure (which was a lump on the left side of my neck). They ALL are OUTSTANDING, Friendly, Caring to the END, Kind, Patient HEALTHCARE WORKERS!! Please go to Dade City for all your needs! Iâm sure you will never be disappointed!! As MY ENT DR., DR. DERBYSHIRE IS THE BEST YOU WILL FIND FOR EAR, NOSE AND THROAT!! His offices are in Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills both so convenient! I CANT THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR DOING MY PROCEDURE!! HE IS ONE OF A KIND!! He also explained everything to my husband as I was in recovery!!! His office staff is also unbeatable!!! Thank you again to all the staff I mentioned above for your Outstanding Hard work!! May God Bless You All from the bottom of my heart!! â¤ď¸đđťđđđđťââď¸ Sincerely Always, Mrs....
Read moreIt took me a long time to write this review. After calling and trying to speak to people and getting NO return call and emailing their "wecare" email address with no responses. It's better that people know what kind of games this hospital plays. I am beyond disappointed with the care my 95-year-old grandmother received at AdventHealth Dade City. Despite her fragile condition and the facilities earlier cancellation of her discharge, the hospital still proceeded to discharge her and had her dropped off by ambulance at 8pmâwith no help, no home health set up, and no regard for her safety. Mind you - I was at work. Which they knew which is why they agreed to discharge her the next morning because there was no one home. She was LEFT on my porch until I was able to get home from my own nursing job in Tampa. They simply didn't want her to die on their watch. I received a call THREE DAYS LATER from home health saying "we heard your grandmother is about to be discharged" no. She was discharged three days prior. No assistance set up. Her meds weren't sent to the pharmacy and I ended up calling a home health facility my self to get assistance. I got a call from the social worker after her telling me they cancelled her discharged at 730pm saying "EMS will be here in 10 minutes to pick her up" I told her no one home and the house was locked and I was working night shift in Tampa and her words were "not my problem" she was COVERED in vomit when I got to her and her o2 was in the 70s because she needed oxygen and they left her on my porch
This was not only irresponsible but downright negligent. A 95-year-old woman should never be sent home alone at night without proper support in place, especially when the discharge had already been revoked earlier in the day. This is not compassionate care. This is a failure in communication, coordination, and basic human decency.
Do better. Families entrust you with their loved ones. You...
