Dollar General — Local services in Dade City

I went to this store to purchase two Green Dot debit cards for a wedding gift and a baby shower gift. One gift card was for $500. The other gift card was for $450. Not only was both cashier, whispering about me buying these debit cards. But one of thecashier asked me questions such as why am I getting these Green Dot cards , do I know the person I’m getting them for, and have I bought these type of cards before. I was unease answering these questions but for some reason I answer them. Because I didn’t have anything to hide. To make a long story short, both purchases went through, however seconds later, they refunded the $450 card. Remind you, it is Saturday morning and it’s Labor Day weekend. I have a pending $950 charge to my debit card where only the $500 card was rendered. And the only thing that the cashier could say was she wanted to make sure that I wasn’t engaged in any fraudulent activity. I feel I was being judged. I will be calling corporate to share...

The manager today threatened to call the police because I would not provide her the name of a minor in my care. She was attempting to solicit information about a minor because she did not want them in the store. I will be filing a formal complaint. With that being said there are cameras in this store and I hope there is audio. This even happened on Friday October 27 at approximately 2pm. It was right when the kids were coming out of school. I was with my child, my male partner and my daughters two school mates.

Please take care of this situation. Her actions were criminal. Regardless of the reason why she would not let them in the store. If I say the children are mine you have no right to ask any...

The cashier will talk and makes remarks about all your items out loud!! Im Hispanic and the lady said "Hola cama stass" like I literally can speak English. Also there was a huge line of people and she just continued to make conversation with everyone without continuing scanning items (which is fine) but people have places to go. You got to keep a move on. Im sure dollar general does not pay enough for speed in employees, If your in a rush, do not stop here or any dollar general...
