My family has been a part of SDI for 16 years. Both girls started with recreational classes and moved on to join their company groups. Kristen, the owner, does a beautiful job ensuring recreational dancers have a positive experience. These dance classes are very well priced and there is a wide variety of styles as well as scheduling options. Kristen offers multiple opportunities for company dancers to learn throughout the year. Contrary to some reviews that have been left, these extra experiences are to help company dancers grow… because that is what company is about- the dancers growing and learning. Obviously there are extra costs associated with these experiences, but that is to be expected in any competitive activities: dance, gymnastics, cheer, soccer, basketball, baseball, etc. Focused lessons to learn different techniques in ANY activity have a price.

This studio has a positive vibe for all dancers. Kristen and her staff make sure every dancer has a great experience, even when parents are negative. This just proves that they understand that a child is not responsible for the parents’ actions.

This is more than a dance studio, it’s an extension of family and a second home for our kids. The dancers learn responsibility, dedication, dependability, and loyalty. After only 1 year of dance experience, they recommended that my daughter try out for company...which I found odd, but thought maybe they saw something in her that I wasn't seeing yet. So, she tried out...she made their Junior Vibe company, which after the parent watch week, I realized that anyone with a heartbeat could be in that company class. While my daughter is talented, she is a beginner and constantly came to me, asking ME to teach her various moves and steps...very basic things. We were also constantly hounded to attend VERY expensive master classes...some over $100. I feel this studio is a scam and we will not be returning. I definitely learned what to look out for in the future...so, they received 2 stars for teaching me a life...

I would 100% recommend SDI to any dancer, any age or level! I am going into my 6th season here and I couldn’t be happier! The staff is so supportive and welcoming and it has always felt like home from the second I walked in the door. The staff is always wanting you to be your best self and excel and everything! The dancers are also so kind and encouraging! Some of my best friends are on my team! I couldn’t imagine dancing anywhere else! If you chose to not take part in the company, the rec classes are such an amazing environment! They teach you anything you need to know if you ever want to be in company or just for fun! SDI is just such an amazing place and i would totally recommend it to anyone looking for an awesome...
