The little garden center up front.
Last year I purchased plants from the gentleman who has his space right when you cross the gate and look to your left. You can’t miss it. Well, you can if you’re me. You really shouldn’t miss it. Anyway, I passed by today knowing fully well that he wouldn’t need there. I wanted to see the assortment of plants he has this year.
The gentleman is kind and knows how to make a deal. His prices are close to or at par with Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart. Ignore the untended garden. I will start sometime soon. I wanted the soil to warm up some before transferring the plants to the garden. Here I’m sharing pictures of plants I purchased last year to show that some will come back on their own. His plants are pretty healthy. They have nice roots.
However, one can barely find him at his post during regular business hours. What makes this a problem is that he doesn’t post when he’ll be there. At one time I suggested he get a CashApp or Zelle account so I can take pictures of the plants I want to buy, text him the images, he quotes the price, and I send him the money for the sale. Read moreLove going here to set up at least once a year to sell things. Of course you basically give it away there because you have to have super cheap prices to get it gone. But still better than donating it to place for free that then marks it up so high you could go buy it new. Only thing is this place after years of going has gone downhill with the use of there tables! They are all falling apart and half have holes all in them. May try a different place to sell next year if they don't maintain...
