First time ever going to Danville Cinemas. Over all appearance is a 5 out of 10. First my husband and I bought our tickets online. When we walked through the front doors there was 3 employees working. The older guy is where my husband presented his phone to show our pre bought tickets. This guy asked my husband to brighten his phone. My husband explained that the phone was as brought as it gets. He kept demanding to turn the brightness up. He was very rude and body language was confrontational. Which I promise that the screen was visible to read. When he finally decided to manually key in the ticket number. Finding out the only reason he wanted the screen brighter was to scan the barcode. So he let people stand in line , and argue when he could of very easily done what he ended up doing. At the ticket booth the lady was pleasant. Handed us our 3d glasses and said try not to wipe the lenses as they get greasy looking to see out of. When the movie started viewing a lot of images looked blurry sometimes the movie would start jerking every so often. My husband quarter way through decided he was going to see if there was anything wrong with his 3d glasses. Which ended up with him missing some of the movie. He left came back with a different pair same issue. I will say this was my first experience with 3d. From what I could tell, it could of been a very beautiful experience. I did enjoy it enough to try the 3d experience again in the future but unfortunately it won't be at...
Read moreTo put it in simple terms; this place is bad. They’re very unorganized. Reserved tickets online a day in advance so my family can all sit together while watching the movie, the day comes for us to go and watch the movie, we walk up to the concession stand to confirm our online reservations and they told us that soemthing went wrong (can’t recall exactly what) but we had to reschedule our seats— there weren’t any seats clustered together for us all to sit in together and they didn’t inform us until last minute once we’ve arrived. Also, based on previous experiences from visiting here after they changed ownership; the auditorium are under maintained; dirty floors, smelly seats and much more. The prices are absurd, ticket pricing is Okay, but the prices for snacks and drinks are ridiculous; $4 for a regular water bottle for example; I understand a business must pull in profit to stay in business but most of the money pulled in for the snacks isn’t even used to maintain or upkeep the place. I from now on will take the extra mile to drive up to the movie...
Read moreWe use to frequent this place every weekend, my husband and I along with our children sometimes for family movies. It use to be very clean, great staff, great snack and drink quality. Every time I come anymore I’m reminded why I don’t come as often. Floors are very sticky and dirty, seats were not reserved as promise so that was a whole other issue to deal with every time. By the time we got seated for our movie all I wanted was to go home. I’ve never felt that way here and it’s always been very home town feel. The staff did not want to be accommodating for any reason, felt almost as if you were bothering them to ask for a drink or a snack to purchase. I was friendly, upbeat. They were monotone like they were on autopilot and didn’t even want to be present but had to. I get it we all feel that way at our job but when your job is front facing customers at least smile or find a different job. I won’t return after my most recent visit and it takes a lot for me to give up on a place I frequent but I’m definitely throwing in the towel...
