I guess Bruce the owner saw me coming. I handed him a $38,000 diamond and two 1/2 carrot diamond studs. I then purchased an engagement ring setting and had him set the diamonds. When I went to pick it up I asked him if he would give me an appraisal. He said sure and it would be $300. I thought that was high but didn't say anything.
