The bank I work for bought a digital sign from watchfire signs for advertising. There are several options for this sign. I have the option to use animation or still photos which are included with the sign we purchased. Mostly I advertise about loans, IRA's, CD's, Christmas Clubs. I add events that are happening in the community and locals ask us to post events that will help them. I post holidays and closing of the bank due to holidays. I use 6 to 8 slides each week and I change it every Friday. The sign also has a feature that you can set a schedule. When I went on maternity leave I created all my slides and had them change each week. It's convenient if you need to set up something in advance or need to delete a slide because it's expiring due to a date that has past. Our sign also posts the time and temperature which a lot of people like to see. I think this a good way to advertise. We are right next to Walmart so we get a lot of traffic by our location. I do think that with it being a popular location not every slide gets read but it catches your eye. I think people notice it because they ask us to put their info on it. So it's reaching people. It's a great tool. I would recommend...
Read moreOur Watchfire sign was put up at the end of last year and within 8 months, panels started going out and looking horrible. Its still under warranty and it took Watchfire 2 months to get someone out and instead of replacing the 25 panels needed, they only sent the sign company (a contractor) 5 panels to replace instead of all 25 because they wanted to test the 5 instead of just owning up to their warranty and fixing our sign. Now we're still waiting to get the sign fixed, it's been nearly 3 months and the main sign outside of our business looks like crap. It's been absolutely terrible and no higher management will talk to me and their customer service reps just hide behind the "we can't make any decisions. We just update you" stick. It's actually just one of the most stunning displays of a company that provides a bad product, doesn't stand behind it, and doesn't care about their customers. Save yourself a ton of time, money, and headaches, and don't go with this company.
I will update this review whenever I have a resolution, although by this rate it may be some time next year... it's actually just seems criminal how they're...
Read moreI am the volunteer sign editor for our church. When we first purchased the sign about four years ago, we used the default software. While the software's user interface was a bit dated, what you saw on the canvas was exactly what you saw on the sign. A year ago, with my recommendation, we converted to the new web-based software (Ignite OPx) which, while "free", necessitated a $1200 hardware upgrade to the sign itself. The new software's canvas does not represent the sign's resolution (granted ours is lower) and often the fonts are blurry and at times, completely illegible. I've had sporadic contact with technical service. Early on, the tech I spoke with admitted there were issues. Since then I have been passed to other techs. I finally gave up last fall and have tried to make the most of it. It's frustrating because I wanted this new software so that I can update the sign from anywhere, but now I have to drive across town every time I update it just to make sure passersby can even read it. ...
