DO NOT GO TO RICHIES. Take this advice. I've been going there when Richie owned it but from my understanding he retired and made a deal with the current owner...who is running the business into the ground. He is still using the same name for the business. What a shame. Got receipts going back over 35 years. Never had a problem. I brought in my car and it seemed to be ok so gave him another car. Worst mistake ever. He gave me all the wrong speakers and amps and the speakers are cutting out now. $1000 for 1 car and $1100 for the other car. I brought them in last year but didnt completely know what he did until recently so i was like...whatever, its been awhile. I'll have it straightened out somewhere else. Then i just sold the other car so took the equipment out and saw he did the same thing to that car. I wanted 6x9s and got 5x7s. After asking around about the new owner i found out he's ripping off alotta people. I dont know how true it is but I heard he cant get equipment from the vendors so that would explain why i got different, lower grade equipment. All the stuff was covered so I couldn't see. I think he counts on that. I dont talk bad about people but this was too big. It cant go unsaid. He shouldn't be able to get away with what he's doing. I wish the original Richie was still in charge. Always treated me with respect. So many cars over the years but now it comes to an end. I dont know how true it is about new owner or lease, the vendors, but what is definitely true is he will rip you off. I haven't seen Richie to ask him myself. Do not go to Richies on state road. I took my van over there to have a AC repaired i am an 79 year old vet.I had an appontment at 9:00am they weren't open yet they opened an bit later told the person i had qn ampontment at 9:00 had to stay an little up wind of him he said that he would need to order parts but have never even looked at the van yet said would take an hour to fix and i didnt hear from him after 3 hours my brother drove me over there the employee said the part hadn't come in yet but there were three other cars they were working on i walked to my car that was in the same spot the new AC fan was on the front seat i told him the part was there he said he was still waiting for an switch after three hours i left at 12:00 heard nothing by three went back still standing around car hasn't moved left again at 4:00 called me said car was done went there to pick up the car was walking to car at end of lot my brother and his wife the four guys that were there standing there one guy told me they he had taken it out for an ride five times to check it out was alright got to my car started it up and noticed the gas gauge was almost quarter down the mileage was over 38 miles over then when i brought it in went home live an quarter mile my brother and his wife told me that the guys standing together had been pointing and laughing at my back while i was walking to the car i then away checked around the car found two scratches from the middle of the passenger door front quarter to the wheel that had been washed the day before and no scratches on it drove it home had no scatches on it and had not gone out again untill i took it to have the AC fixed. DO NOT go to richies auto radio. I had a horrible experience there. I called for quotes at many different locations before finally deciding on richies because they were the "cheapest" little did i know that once the work had been done to the vehicle the price would jump 130+ dollars from my intial estimate .( i had figured it would go up a bit, not nearly that much) but upon discovering the huge price change i asked about it and was told that my sound system install came to so much because they "charged 2x the labor because i didnt by the audio equippment through them. That was the first issue because not one person disclosed that to me on the phone to begin with. From there they continued to tell me that i was mixing up my quote with another company i had spoke with, they also told me it was impossible to be quoted such a number because richie himself does quotes even tho i did not speak to him on the phone. They are very decitful people and are out to rip people off! Then i called the next day to complain about the price to the manager because the person at the desk the day before couldnt do anything for me. Upon speaking to the manager i was insulted and made to feel like an idiot not to mention the fact that they had told me earlier in the day to call when i was ready to come by and pick up a refund check for the issue. Once i call richie has since decided that i will no longer be getting a refund check at all! In the end i was given a refund of 50$ which is better than nothing but i will NEVER be going be back there again and would not reccomend them to anyone because of their extremely poor...
