Villa 2- 13-15 July 2021 These cabins are privately owned and not the same as the cabins that Turner Falls Park offers, very confusing because they have the same name. Why is this important? Because the cabins that the park offers come with free admission for 4 guests for the entirety of the stay and these do not. Unfortunately, you do not find that out until AFTER you pay. We ended spending over $1000 dollars for 3 nights. $871 for the cabin and $200 for park fees. Ouch. Now I want to give credit where it is due, Mr. Cope is very nice and responds quickly to inquires. His cabin was clean and it is obvious he has made decent attempts at remodeling the cabin, especially in the kitchen. There are some maintenance concerns but overall it was a nice place. The view from the balcony was awesome and the firepit was a hit with the kids. Overall, the beauty of the park and the water made the trip worth it. We left early on the last day because our backs could not handle the quality of the mattress in the bedroom. Just have to be honest.
In response to the owners response: The information you sent was after payment. It is obvious because the door code is enclosed along with specific directions to the cabin after entering the park. That was the first I had heard about park fee's and you have a very strict refund policy. Please don't take my review personal, it is not that the cabin is terrible but it is...
Read moreFor the first time staying here it was very enjoyable. I was a little surprised though that the cabin #3 that we stayed at was right off the parking lot. So even though they had chairs on the porch I wouldn't really sit there just to watch people walking by. the good side is that you just walk from the cabin across the parking lot right into the river to cool off!! I did think the price point was a bit expensive. I think $150 would have been more reasonable.
Other very minor things needed was a shower caddy to hold your shower and soap. we had to put our stuff on the floor of the shower. A bath towel rack would have been nice too Also a clothes hanger rack that fits over the door is needed for wet towels and hanging clothes. we actually did pick one up and left it there. A nice to have would be window blinds even though I'm sure no one could see in at day or night. I just felt more comfortable if there were blinds.
Nothing to do with cabin and as noted by others ...the park charges fees. you have to spend per person daily entry fee. we spent $68 for Thursday and Friday plus for the day we left (9:30am) !
All in all it was a very...
Read moreThe owner was very nice and patient with me and replied to all my texts or calls. We actually arrived @ noon and he was kind enough to let us check in early, now the room had not been cleaned yet but thats not the owners fault since he didn't know that the housekeeper had not been by yet. She did end up showing up but I told her it was fine the room was not that bad. It was only 2 of us and the size of the room was enough for us, the porch was spacious and relaxing to hear the water. The A/C was very cool and there was also cable TV. The only negative part was the the climb up to the room 🥵(I stayed in #6) I already knew there was about 50 steps to get up to the room but I never thought it would be that bad. To bring up all ur belongings up those steps was not easy but the view is worth it and I understand why they're so high up, so u can have a better view of the water/trees. But honestly even though our legs are sore from all those steps and the trails we did we still liked it, we were very close to the falls, concession stand and the castle. All in all we had a blast and plan to come back with more family but obvi get a...
