If I could give this 0 stars I would. My husband bought me gift certificate for Christmas, about $400 worth. I wanted the works! The place is absolutely beautiful inside, but customer service fails miserably.
Fist I got a facial and body massage. The lady, had a forgein accent continually asked me if I wanted to go on a diet, and commented that in her country, a tattoo meant a person was in prison. She told me about her personal life and on she’s in her second marriage. Next I got a manicure:pedicure. The manicurist complained that the lady who did my facial and massage took too much time and messed up her schedule. When she did my pedicure, she said I didn’t need a foot massage because I just got one with my last massage and the lady messed her schedules up. She then proceeded to ask me if I’ve ever been to that location because she had a lady write a bad check to her once, and I looked familiar. Next I went for my hair appointment. Got a great cut and color, except the lady that styled my hair smiled not once, and had her young son also in the chair next to me spinning around in circles. Finally the hair stylist told him to stop or he’ll get it. Then the child’s father showed up. The father asked in front of me “how many of those you got left”, and she replied” this is my last one”. Nice!
It was the worst 4.5 hours! I tried for two weeks to reach the Spa director. She was on vacation. Finally she offered to do a complimentary back facial for all my troubles. I declined. I just wanted to let her know it was a shame that whomever owns that company is probably loosing business. I would never return and I was sure I’m not the only one. The spa director further explained that the lady doing my facial and massage didn’t mean to be so negative, she has a good heart. She also explained that the manicurist and hair stylist she could not speak for, they are independent contractors of the Spa, and I’d have to contact them.

Read moreI have gone to Afinity for years and have had probably 8 messages through them. I have asked for a different message therapist every time in hopes I would find a good message therapists but I would leave worse than when I came in and some of them talked my ear off. Never had a good experience so looking somewhere else. I have also got my hair done with Ashley Eason and I really did like her. She did do a good job on my hair cut and fixed my hair back to blonde. Then I send my daughter to her to get an ombre which is one blonde on top blended into a red towards the bottom. My daughter came to me crying because she Ashley messed her hair up so bad and it did look horrible and brittle. I spoke with Ashley and all she cared about was defending herself and not taking responsibility for ruining her clients hair or that her client was unsatisfied. It was ridiculous I was very disappointed in her behavior she tried to blame it on my daughter and she's the hairstylist, real mature. I don't understand why there's a manager there because the hairstylists rent their spots and are their own bosses pretty much. So the managers just throw their hands in the air and take no responsibility either and say there isn't anything they can do about it. Well that is stupid because they still represent Affinity and if customers aren't satisfied they won't come back to Affinity. So they offer my daughter to come back in for Ashley to fix her hair and she still didn't understand what an ombre was suppose to look like and she gives my daughter a contract to sign and wouldn't refund her money, talk about greedy, We walked out. Never will go here again. My daughter went to "WILD SIDE SALON" in Davison and Kaitlin did a great job it turned out absolutely beautiful and her hair was so soft and flowing I loved it. Very happy results I will be going...
Read moreI have seen a couple stylists at this salon over the years but I have never encountered such unprofessionalism than from Joanna Kotzian a hair stylist. I have had my hair done by her a few times and wanted to have something different done after the quarantine. I wanted my roots completely covered from an ombré to make an all over blonde. I feel as though she didn’t leave the bleach on long enough and my hair was a very orangey brass shade after. She claimed tht she told me when she was blow drying my hair that there were some brassy warm tones in it still and claimed that I nodded in agreement. This was not my understanding. I contacted her the next day and tried to contact the salon manager. She replied to me on Facebook messenger that she had been informed that I was “blowing up the salon phone” and that she was busy. I called the front desk twice and I got very conflicting information and was starting to get frustrated. When she responded to me she used quotations saying she could “fix” my hair. Which was making it sound like she was mocking me and invalidating my frustration. I was very clear about what I asked for (touch up the blonde and cover the roots) she claimed that we had never “covered the roots so I assumed we were doing what we had done before” So she assumed what we were doing with my hair and didn’t confirm what I wanted. I received a call from the salon manager and she apologized for her rudeness I felt better after that. My firm opinion is that this woman is overworked. I did not feel she was sensitive to any of my frustrations and responded to me in a mocking tone and...
