Always a good afternoon to hike up sugarloaf. Wonderful view of the Connecticut river and the pioneer valley, especially in the fall. Great for. photo shoot. There is are multiple trails up, take the back one - it's less steep and there are usually less people. It's sometimes a bit crowded at the top, but they have bbq coal stations and tables - a great place for a picnic and a Sunday hike. Not a very long hike and pretty easy. The wildlife here is also really cool - I've seen a mated pair of peregrine falcons here a few times, and once I saw a group of over 19 really cool large birds of pray, looked like another type of falcon or hawk - circling and diving.
