Came in to buy a 23 ton lumberjack log splitter that offered a 100.00 off either purchased online or in store. Get to the Deforest store and the gal at the desk said they didn't offer one. I continued to show her and she said they don't do that. I asked her if I purchased it how long can they hold it because I wasn't able to pick it up for a few days until my husband got home and she said it has to be picked up same day if purchase they can't hold more than day of purchase. So I go over to see what it looked like in the lawn and garden department and the gentlemen was extremely nice and said it would not fit in my car and not to worry they have plenty they won't sell out by the weekend. So I wait until my husband came on and we went there on Friday. Went straight to lawn and garden and the log splitter had no book because it had no hoses to connect for the 3 pt hitch and very frustrating and trying to figure out what size coupler and hose. We were told to get a manual you got to purchase the log splitter and get the book out of the box they come in. At that point I was really angry are you kidding me really. So we go to purchase which at that point I told my husband to just forget it we didn't need it that badly. Well we argued and he bought one anyways. So we go to pick it up and I told the guy at the gate that we need to buy one in a box to get a owners manual than have to go back in to buy couplers and hoses so we have the correct sizes. We wait one half hour to get it to our truck and it's out of a box so I told my husband to ask for the owners manual and they had to of gotten this off the showroom floor. They said don't have it go online to get one.. Are you kidding me now I am really angry. I told my husband just return it I don't want it. He wanted to go back to figure out the hoses and I refused to go in.. Number one should have gotten a discount for floor model...

Then spoke with manager Robert - he allowed that HE didn't know if a 3 year old battery sitting on their shelves might not deliver the same life as would a freshly manufactured battery, couldn't comprehend my concern that an expensive battery ought to deliver life well beyond it's usual warranty expiry date. . . Asked to speak to his manager, he suggested Fleet Farm's "buyers", to which I suggested it wasn't a matter of their expertise, but instead, his attitude to not have taken any ownership for his store's failure to have properly rotated their inventory to have prevented this problem. . . Finally spoke with Chaz, manager of 5 stores, was informed that I ought to not have any concern that the battery was no good, inferring that my expectation to have received a fairly recently manufactured battery was unrealistic and unwarranted. . . All in all, none of these employees, given the opportunity to take ownership for the problem, rose to the occasion, much less delivered a satisfactory answer. . . For all of their customer's who've paid retail prices believing they received a good value, but haven't noticed their inventory purchased was ridiculously ancient, many years past the date of manufacture, "buyer beware" just doesn't cut my disappointment in this company's unseemly ethics practiced, from bottom to top level management. . . Blain's Farm Fleet's stores have always treated me soooooo very...

I come into the store to return a reel I had purchased the day before. I actually had intentions of upgrading, but they were out of stock. I make my way back to the hunting and fishing department where I stood for 20 minutes while 2 workers were ignoring me. After a few more minutes, the gentleman told me that he cant help me with the issue. He told me to go to customer service.
I make my way to the customer service counter where there is a blonde haired lady eating snacks. I gave her time to chew and swallow before I said “hello”. She flat out ignored me. She proceeded to stuff her face with snacks and walked into the break room behind the counter. She walks out a few minutes later, seemingly still chewing on the same snacks. She never once made eye contact with us. She walks past me and goes off into the distance.
I then see this blue haired lady walking by. I ask “is there someone who can help me with a return?” She then points to the lady who was chewing her snacks. I said “she is too busy at the moment to help me.” The blue haired lady says she will help me then. Upon looking at my receipt, she begins questioning why I wanted to return the item. She calls back to sporting goods, where I already was standing for nearly half an hour, and asks if she is allowed to return the item.
The lack of professionalism, leadership, and customer service skills are apparent. It’s a very sad look for Fleet Farm near the heart of our state. Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life...
