Russo's Wholesale Produce — Local services in Del Rey Oaks

Let me start by saying that I love the service that Russo’s provides. The people who work there have always been helpful in my experience. That said, having ordered weekly for the past several months, I can say that unfortunately you will frequently receive unusable food that you’d probably never consider purchasing from the grocery store if you were shopping yourself (see the “extra fancy” oranges I picked up today for example, or heirloom tomatoes from a few weeks ago). I don’t know why they do this other than to just take more profits.

To be clear, most of the food is of good quality. But the fact remains that probably about 1 in 10 or even a little more pieces of fresh produce I receive I end up throwing out as soon as I bring it home, which obviously hurts the value prospect of this service and its price as quoted online. Russo, if you’re listening, please make more of an effort to sell only high quality food items. Your brand and reputation will suffer badly otherwise.
