Laura's Flea Market — Local services in DeLand

I finally got to visit this flea market after months of wanting to check it out & I must say it was well worth the wait. The owner has several sheds that each have their own theme & they are just filled with some of the neatest, prettiest, & most interesting things. If I had any complaints it would be that nothing has a price marked on it so I had to find a gentleman riding around on a golf cart then he had to call her (the owner) & describe the item(s) I was interested in then she gave him a price which was a lil high in my opinion for 2nd hand things if you ask me so it was a process just to price check a few things. Besides that though I really enjoyed myself & may even possibly be checking into renting 1 of her storage containers that I can hopefully make another attempt of opening my thrift store "Gypsy's Treasures" which I tried once before in Pierson at the storage facility in town but they are ran by a man named Terry who was just a nightmare to rent from, work for, or have any type of dealings with period. Frankly in my opinion he is pure evil & he has a very ugly soul (or what's left of it anyways). All the vendors at the flea market were also very generous, helpful, & informative. I will definitely be visiting them more often from now on whether I get to rent a space or not. I would definitely say this is a place anyone that enjoys this kind of shopping...

Smaller flea market, but with so many markets in Florida featuring dealers selling new stuff, it was refreshing to see one that still featured used items. This has a dozen or so shipping containers, so the dealers can bring furniture etc and store it safely from week to week. The containers have fans and lights to improve your shopping. This market has a high percentage of antiques- but most are vintage as opposed to being true antiques. And most dealers had several glass display cases, with jewelry, collectibles and other smalls.
