Margaret is a real asset to our precious community! During all the restrictions and closings for COVID, she has heroically stayed open when Hollywood has offered few in number good movies for people to go see. Financially, that must have been a sacrifice for her. Yet, Margaret has kept the movie theater experience alive and fun! Her personal presence, affordable concessions, and unique historical theater make going there a unique experience. Why stay home??! Going to the Egyptian Movie Theater allows us to join with others from throughout our community to engage in the shared cultural experience of movies. Come out and see one of the awesome movies like Spider Man: No Way Home. Even when there was a HUGE crowd of hundreds opening night, she got us all into a warm, inviting theater in a timely manner. She even waited for all of us at the back to enter before she started showing the movie. Only that kind of personal touch can be found in such an outstanding small town, local theater managed by such an exceptional owner! We love the our whole experience at the Egyptian Movie Theater! We love Margaret! And the Tru Vu Drive In Theater in the summer months is one of the best places to ever go...
Read moreWorst customer service I have EVER experienced. The owner rang people up ONE at a time whilst people waiting in below freezing weather for over an hour. If a popular movie is premiering why wouldn’t you prepare as a business owner. I HAD PREORDERED TICKETS ON LINE - only to wait in the cold for over an hour to see the movie. The movie was supposed to premiere at 7pm but since the owner has refused to modernize most of the customers had to wait outside for hour and a half and the movie didn’t start until after 8pm. The owner didn’t even address the people in line and give updates to let people know the movie had already started!! I feel like there could have been MANY simple solutions to this problem- as having two lines. One line for people who preordered and one line for people purchasing tickets night of. OR JUST HAVING SOMEONE MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT SO THE PEOPLE IN LINE KNOW WHATS GOING ON. There is no excuse for how people were treated tonight. It’s just such a bummer and really soured this theater for me. It used to be one of my...
Read moreIf you love the experience of attending first rate film premieres, The Egyptian theater should be your first stop. No other theater combines the welcoming atmosphere, downright affordable ticket & snack prices for your family or date, and the Top Film of the week. In addition, its location provides plenty of restaurants, shops, & family friendly pub & grills one can enjoy before or after the movie. It's a real gem. Although the acoustics of this theater weren't ideal, given the age, there are "sweet spots" throughout this large venue. Attending this theater will make your evening the next time you're in the mood for getting out to enjoy some ambiance & watching a film with someone...
