I'm normally an early morning shopper. Today I came in at around 12 I asked the cashier politely where I could find trufuel. She points to isle 10 and tells me she doesn't know which one I'm looking for. Fine. She calls John over with an attitude. Remind u I'm multiracial but brown skinned . The previous customer she was polite and conversationalist too was white or appeared too be. John comes over, saying before he found out what I needed. That he doesn't know what I'm looking for. Great. I state this shift has no customer service skill I will find it myself. I'm offended that the same store I visit in the morning has the racist personal in the afternoon. Maybe the morning shift can cover up better than the afternoon. Or maybe because personal is unprofessional I had a problem.I bring my purchase to the corner and tell her the morning shift has better customer service. She throws my receipt on the counter and toots her nose up. The same cashier that had an issue helping me find the right product. I've been coming to this store for the past year for my home repair needs and after today will not go back. Everything from pressure washing, light fixtures to cleaning my pool. Home Depot or Lowe's...
Read moreI have no idea how the rest of the store is run, but I was quite baffled by the propane refilling process. I am an RVer and visit propane refilling stations all over the country. Normally, they only make you pay for what was put into the tank and they credit you for whatever was in it to start. Apparently, this is foreign to this store.
The guy at the refilling station said that they normally charge you per tank and not per gallon. He said though to just tell them inside that I wanted to pay by the gallon for 6 gallons. Inside, the cashier seemed baffled and like that was not the way things worked. I told him that I wasn’t paying for propane I didn’t get. He made me feel like he was making an exception for him to let me pay by the gallon and made me feel like I shouldn’t have asked for it (even though the man outside told me to). He said that paying by the gallon was reserved exclusively for food trucks and RVers. Well, this just happens to be my RV propane tank for my RV and I told him so. He seemed to let me do it even though he didn’t want to.
Not very impressive. Thanks a lot, way to “ACE” my...
Read moreThey have a very solid selection and carry just about everything you would need, though you pay more for local and convenient. Unfortunately I recently purchased a transformer while on my lunch break just in case that was the part which was broken on my AC unit at home. Turns out it wasn't the problem and now Ace won't take the unit back 10 days later. The unit had barely been opened, just to check the contents, all parts and pieces intact and new. They claim there is a sign by the electronics but the only sign is 5x8 printed sign that says "all cut wire cannot be returned". Nothing about any other electronics. The receipt did say it but only on that line item, and what good is that after you've bought the piece and left the store? I wouldn't have bought it to be used just in case if I had known this... So much for shopping small and local if you can't be trusted to say that something is still new and in working order. Cost em 15 dollar profit to lose a customer and gain a bad review. Doesn't seem like a good...
