DO NOT shop here! If I could give no stars I would. Bery misleading, over priced dresses, and pressuring sales tactics. Trying to find the perfect prom dress, was pressured into putting 75 dollars down for layaway on a dress, that it would be gone if we left and no holds. We were told that even if we changed our minds on the dress we could still use the 75 dollars in store. Called and told them we found another dress and wanted to use the 75 dollars to get shoes and jewelry (still using it in the store) and was told a manager would call us back and they never returned my call. Went back to store in person, to buy shoes and jewelry with my $75 and was told "No" you can't use it for anything other than another dress. Told them we didnt need a dress we already had one but would like to buy shoes with it. Still No.....basically lost our money and store employees and manager don't care about their customers or your hard earned money. Buy somewhere else!! Found the same dresses at other stores for half the price. Layaway down payment is not specified on receipt that it can not be used towards other items in the store and was not told this at the time. Takes advantage of customers....will NOT be back and do NOT recommend anyone to go to this store. . . . In responce to the owners response to this- the entire time we shopped we were told by one of the girls ( who wasnt helping. We didnt recieve any help for us specifically instead she was helping A DIFFRENT girl and talking to us inbetween getting the other girl dresses) that if we didnt get it, it would be gone. Not only that but i did NOT leave the store mad, i was stresses out due to the feeling of having to make a decision on the spot or it would not have been mine ( thankfully its not) also one more thing to add is that in the store my mother mentioned using the money we put down for shoes and jewlery to which your staff said the prices of the shoes and jewlery instead of correcting us if it was " against policy" it would have also been written and obviously stated that the store credit is only allowed to be used twords gowns. Also about the little comment concerning the "21 days " later during your "busiest time" ( which your store was empty when we came in ) we actually called you guys- as soon as we found the better dress. You guys never returned our phone call :) and the pressure tactics we were refering to- i PERSONALLY felt pressured when talking to my mother about getting a dress elsewhere and alora said " theres no point in going anywhere else if you like this dress. If you leave this dress will be gone and YOU wont have it". This made me and my mom both feel extremely pressured to put the dress...

My mom purchased her MOB dress from The Blushing Bride for my upcoming wedding. They offered in-house alterations for $100-$150 so we were happy to use them and keep the dress at the store. We went in for the 1st fitting and then a month later they called to let us know the dress was finished. We arrived to find HALF of the alterations completed (she hemmed half of the dress but not the other half, took in the waist but not the bust, etc.) and the half that was complete was botched. Luckily, I took photos from our first fitting that I was able to show the owner who helped us at the âfinalâ pick up appointment to demonstrate all the things that were missed/done incorrectly despite being pinned at the end of the first appointment. The owner was rude, condescending and never ONCE apologized for the issue - she just said âOh I am not sure why the seamstress did not complete this or thatâ. After my mom took the dress off and we spoke, we decided we no longer trusted the Blushing Bride team with her dress at all and feared that they would end up cutting off more of the dress that we could not salvage if we left it with them. Itâs also note-worthy that to them, this dress was complete and final, they would have happily let us leave with it had we not pointed out all the things they missed. When we politely requested to just go ahead and take the dress with us and not have them âalterâ it again - we were told by the owner we had to pay $250 TO TAKE HOME THE DRESS WE HAD ALREADY FULLY PURCHASED! Mind you, we were quoted $100-$150 for the entirety of the alterations, not to mention we drove 2+ hours each way multiple times, half of the alterations werenât done and those that were done were comically bad. After we expressed our outrage that they would even make us pay anything in this situation, the owner would not allow us to pay any less than $150 to get back the dress we already paid for in full. We paid it just to be done with these crooks, but I caution any other customers, DO NOT TRUST THE BLUSHING BRIDE WITH YOUR DRESS! Itâs all about how you handle your customers, and while the employees themselves were sweet, the owner could not have been more rude. Do not give your money to someone who will let you leave with a botched dress and LIE about the cost of alterations...
