WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We are a small family of 3 and with the pandemic craziness we decided that our best option was to buy a travel trailer. We went to the dealer In our home state NJ but they didnât have it and our salesman there sent us to this one hoping we could find what we were looking for. Without further details on what we purchase I would like to share the experience of buying it there. We ended up getting a used 2017 TT that with a little cosmetic changes here and there would be perfect for us. The TT was not cheap to say least but with some restrictions that we had like the weight we could pull it was the one. The sales woman there , Danielle, promised us that the orientation there was far better and thorough than that ones they do in NJ and that, just between her and us, we should definitely do it there so we believed her bad agreed. Two weeks after we went to pick it up and did the so âfabulous orientationâ and it was pathetic. Yes they explained everything to us to as we moved we starting finding wrong things with the TT like a molding smell that they didnât even tried to cover up, things broken and to tip everything off when we asked the âtechâ to show us the black water system and to open it up, surprise surprise, the tank was full and all of its contents fell on the floor on his hands, yeah a great experience. So we take the TT home, the thing smells like it was sitting in a storage completely wet and left there to rot. We got home and realized they didnât give us the necessary paper work...we drove the TT home without the registration great!! I started doing what it should have been a small clean up, to find out that everything was clean to the minimum effort, and the entire TT was disgusting. Why we didnât see it at the dealer? Because they had it on an enclosed dark garage and the interior light of the TT was not very good. I called Danielle and let her know of my extreme discontent with the hole process and her answer was â oh I donât have anything todo with the service departmentâ And yet she spent the time to sell us how wonderful they were with the orientation, cleaning and preparation of the TT. I told her that instead of writing this review I had decided to call her and express my discontent. Unfortunately I had to break that promise and hereâs why. 2 days later the TT was clean and the smell was slowly getting better. Fast forward another 2 weeks we start our vacation, today, got to the first camp ground and nothing else can go wrong. We connected the water and electricity and all of the sudden we were being flooded. We found a couple loose connections and tightened up the ends, which it doesnât even seem that they checked it, and now the water is coming from under the floor. We are using a regulator for the right water pressure and after dealing with that problem I was cooking and the faucet was also broken and the water states liking dropping inside the counter underneath. Tomorrow is Sunday and we most likely wonât be able to find anyone to help us so we are stuck here 11 hours away from our final destination. I canât wait until Monday to call the dealer and see what they have to say. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! If you can find your RV or TT somewhere else take the trip this place is horrible.
UPDATE!! We are almost at the end of our trip and had to call a tech at one of our stops to come out and fix some of the issues that we had with the TT. After I posted the review I ended up calling the store on Wednesday simply to find out if the AC lid that was broken and that I was promised I would get from them, had been delivered to our house. Dave, the manager, a very unprofessional individual to say the least, had the nerve to say that it was unlikely that they would keep their word. So not only we have to deal with their incompetence but now we se evening punished for posting a review. BE AWARE FOR WHAT YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH GOING TO...
Read moreI was contacted heavily by camping world to bring my RV to them to have them evaluate it for purchase. I was a little reluctant because I know that big outfits like this typically lowball you, but I had no idea that I would have the experience that I did.
I brought to them my 2014 Minnie Winnie class C RV that had under 20,000 miles on it. I made it very clear to camping world that there were some customizations made inside it, which only made it nicer, looking and more attractive . Nothing major.
Sutton conducted the evaluation. He was neither friendly nor unfriendly but after evaluating my unit, he came out with a list and he put a notebook over it. You know like the old days when you were buying a car and they donât let see how much theyâre going to try to screw you.
He ticked off all the things he thought was wrong with my RV and tried to offer me $8000 for it. He was even commenting that he thought that the offer was a bit of an insult, but that was the best he could do. During that time he tried to tell me that the Cummins generator was not working, which was a total lie. I told him to go back and check it again before I went back there to check it with him, and then he came back and said that it did indeed work. It only had 160 hours on it.
The only things he could identify wrong with my RV was that it needed a new blower for the AC and heat in the driverâs part, it needed a new switch for the awning, and it needed a rear back light. End of discussion. Other than that, the RV was fine. He tried to tell me that the book value of my RV was $18,000. He was incorrect. The book value of the van that holds the RV is $18,000 but when you look up the value of the RV itself, it starts at $28,000 and goes to $35,000 depending upon whether it is excellent, good, fair, or unsatisfactory condition.
Needless to say, I took my RV away and sold it two days ago for $32,000 privately. I fixed the blower which cost me $35. I fixed the switch for the awning which cost me $23. And we put a new bulb in the rear light for next to nothing.
I got the value for my RV within the range of its book value.
I donât know if he thought I was stupid woman who knew little about what I owned or just desperate. I was neither.
I would stay away from this place. I think they are deceptive and shady. It was a real eye opener. I did think they were going to lowball me but I had no idea that they would be looking to give me next to nothing for something that they would sell for $35,000. How much money does a place like this really need to gobble up?
I wouldnât...
Read moreArrived at Camping World Boyerstown for their âgrand openingâ to check out their campers offered since Iâve seen them online a lot. Leslie was nice, but the manager she brought in to talk to us was talking to us in a demeaning way, being kind of rude and very judgmental. Maybe itâs because I was out of office and instead of a suit and tie I was in my weekend clothes? Maybe itâs because I said I only wanted to put a certain amount down instead of paying cash? Maybe it was because me and my wife are in our twenties he assumed we were broke?
Also a big pet peeve coming from finance and sales myself, this guy mentioned our DTI, asked about my ONE loan I have out on a car I just got and thatâs it. He didnât ask about my income at all? Thatâs literally part of the definition of DTI and finding out if someone could be approved for a loan.
He kept on talking to us like we didnât know anything, like we were just dumb and naive. Iâve traveled full time in a 32ft Camper for over a year and have been off-grid living for a year after that in a yurt bell tent, have built my own off grid cabin, and am a travel enthusiast. Iâm very familiar with the product.
I asked for very specific criteria and was flexible in price but had my limits, I said it will need at least a bunk room for our 2 year old. We plan on living in this while building our home. He proceeded to give Leslie the keys to 3 campers that were absolutely a waste of our time and nothing what we were looking for. Leslie was nice, but even she didnât know their own inventory.
Also more than half their inventory we saw online wasnât even on site so we couldnât look at that.
Overall, dissatisfied with the managers...
