Spunktown Tavern — Restaurant in Colebrookdale Township

I so wish I could give this place a better review. It's been years since I have been here. We left the kids at home and made it a date night. Upon arrival we sat ourselves. We sat received our drinks. I ordered the special half rack ribs with fries and coleslaw for 10 bucks. My other half got a chicken buffalo cheesesteak. While I usually take pictures I did not and now wish I did. He liked his buffalo chicken cheessteak it was full of meat or overflowing so nothing spectacular. We did see cheesesteaks go out to another table literally piled high with meat. I received my meal and to say the least I was underwhelmed. Yes I understand it was 10 bucks. But when it says half rack I expect a half rack. I received three ribs a half rack is generally considered 5 to 7 ribs. Again I know 10 bucks. As a waitress I would have been ashamed to even place that in front of someone. I didn't complain as that's not my style to shame a restaurant when they have a pretty full dining room. I have cooked in local establishments and know that it definitely should not be listed as half rack of ribs. They either need to give the half rack of ribs or up the price and give more then 3 ribs.What little I had was good. The fries were not fresh cut which by pictures on the web I thought they were. I use to love this place back in the early 2000. So I most likely will give another chance. But I only ever give one second chance so hopefully my next experience will be better. It's a bar so the atmosphere is just that a bar. Everyone seemed friendly. But also seemed like alot of regulars. Waitress was fine. We stumbled upon this place thanks to google search.. Glad we gave it a try! We started with the habenero wings, cooked perfectly.. we personally would ask for a tad bit more sauce next time, but they were great! I got the Spunktown burger, medium.. Cooked perfectly and really delicious! Hubby got Crab Cake sandwich and those were also delicious! We will definitely be going back.. Dude, I loved the place. Buddy and I came in last night. A place we never been before. Walking in I was super surprised at how packed the place was. Seemed like everyone was really enjoying them selfs. Sitting down at the bar is was shocked to see pbr on draft. On draft.. (So of course I had to have more then 1 🫣).
