I took my brand new 2013 Ram 1500 to Mt. Zion Offroad to have Bilstein (ride height adjustable) shocks installed. When I arrived in the afternoon to pick up my truck, following the installation, I saw it sitting in their parking lot with severe damage on both sides. As I approached my truck (a bit in shock) I surveyed the damaged, which was later determined to be just under $11,000! So, I entered the office to inquire about what had happened. Upon my initial inquiry as to what had happened, the individual at the desk said "Didn't anyone call you?," to which I responded "No!" They proceeded to tell me that they had a lift failure and that my truck had fallen off the lift. Shortly after that I was told that my truck fell off the lift due to a technician error. So at this point I wasn't sure what really had happened. The owner of the establishment then tried to persuade me to use a body shop, with which he was familiar, to perform the multiple repairs required to fix my truck. In addition to using his recommended repair shop, he offered to allow me to keep any left over insurance money. As I was still trying to process what had happened, because this was the first new vehicle I had ever owned, I was not ready to think about left over insurance money at that point. Fast forward to my truck now having been repaired at the body shop of my choice. I felt that I was owed some compensation for the diminished value of my truck that was not even a year old. Though it is not a law in PA to pay diminished value compensation, I thought Mt. Zion should have felt obligated to compensate me in some fashion for their error. In the end, I was compensated nothing for my loss and aggravation! In addition, though I had given the technician clear instructions as to the height at which I wanted the front shocks set, they were installed incorrectly! So, now I have a new truck with a significantly diminished value due to their accident. Also, I will have to take my truck to a different shop to have the shocks removed and reset to the height at which I had requested Mt. Zion set them. Needless to say, I will not return to this facility for...
Read morei am a jeep lover just like the owners. i got to admit the owners are very nice people gave me good prices for buying parts from them but i will never have the mechanics work on anything there. not even i simple oil change. i baught a wrangler there and didnt look around thinking i would get a good deal but it was way over priced. ( my fault ) i had to have them fix several things including inspection issue stuff they said was ok during there 100 point inspection. like pinion seals alignment A/C. and several other little things. they had my vehicle for 3 weeks to fix the A/C and by the time i got home it was NOT blowing cold air at all. they broke the transmission boot, fog light switch etc. plus my dash raddled and never figured out what it was. i called and they offered to fix it all and even pick up my vehicle but i told them no way i will ever let you guys touch another vehicle. i tore my dash apart and pluged in everything they didnt. then i figured i would give it my own full inspection and the brakes were not passable front and rear. emergency brake didnt work. valve cover gasket leaked like it wasnt even there. ( they degreased the engine so i couldnt tell when buying it. ) driving light were burned out. tires were not brand new like they said. great place to drool over awsome looking jeeps. but keep your money in your pocket if it has bolt ons that there mechanics but on. im glad i sold the jeep and get rid of the issues of them making in the jeep. buying parts there and getting great advice and the owners are very professional but i would never trust there mechanics. sorry for...
Read moreShopping for vehicles can be such a pain sometimes. I had previously never been to the location but found a vehicle at their location that caught my eye. I contacted them via email and telephone to let them know that I wanted to come down before they closed. I was running late for my appointment at Mount Zion Offroad and was not going to make it to their office before they closed. Needless to say I did not make it to their office before they closed, but the employee that I spoke with that day named Michael Cashman was willing to stay late to help me. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional to my needs. Most of all he waited after they closed just to show me the vehicle and long story short; I bought the Jeep that day. Michael made the purchase process very easy, convenient, and pain free. I have owned a Jeep before but after dealing with Michael Cashman at Mount Zion Offroad, I am convinced that there isn’t anyone better to go to with your Jeep needs. They don’t just sell vehicles, they also offer services. Mount Zion Offroad gets two thumbs way up and I have never been happier with a vehicle purchase. I would recommend them to anyone and if you don’t use them you are missing out, thank you Mount Zion Offroad and Michael Cashman for everything. I...
