The Dover Antique Mall Etc. — Local services in Dover Township

My wife and I have been collecting old ceramic’s that light up for many of years. We have been to this business on several occasions with pleasant out comes with the staff. Unfortunately this time after finding several really neat vintage pieces and going to pay I noticed the lady taking all light bulbs out of the ceramic Christmas trees, pumpkins 🎃 and what not. She placed them on the back shelf and then wrapped and bagged my purchases. After I paid reminded her she forgot to put the bulbs back into the bag, and she said “we keep them, light bulbs are very expensive”. My mind was blown because these were not on display, not tested, no sign indicating they take light bulb out of there products after being sold to there patrons. I truly do not believe this was a bulb that the store put in, it was there by the previous owner, I understand it’s not a big deal to just replace a light but at the price point of sometimes hundreds of dollars at times for vintage decor this...

We thought it was ok until we got home and are item we purchased had a Crack in it We tried to clean it and placed water in it and it leaked. We called them to ask if we could swap it for another. The man said is there another. We said in the store yes but in that section no. So he changed his tune and said there is a no return policy. I said where is that on our receipt? He said it's all over the store. So we said we won't be back. By the way it's not on any receipts you lost a good customer from greed. You could of told the owners of that area it was cracked and they could of taken the loss. Instead a honest customer did. I don't care how nice your store is if your not...

Honestly a fantastic antique mall. And I have been to quite a few of antique stores and malls throughout Ohio and now in Pennsylvania. There is so much to look at, in the selection is fantastic! Depending on what you're looking for, but honestly it's very well stocked and a nice variety. From what I noticed, the prices seem to be pretty fair and on point for most of the items that I had looked at. The building itself is set up. Very nice. It's easy to get in and around. They do have stairs to get up to the second floor and they offer a elevator if you're unable to take stairs. Very cool place. I absolutely will be coming back next...
