Fantastic gym with an excellent variety of high-quality equipment. Several power racks, each one fitted with a bench and a barbell. Dumb bells go up to 130 lbs. Other equipment (which is all new and in pristine shape):

The owner, Ian, is a great guy who truly cares about maintaining a respectful and friendly gym culture. He helped me out big time, offering a short-term membership while I was visiting the area for a few weeks. He's very cool with folks doing heavy strength training, as long as they know what they are doing and aren't trying to create an "ego-scene".

Needless to say, I have been in a lot of gyms! Granite Fitness and Performance is definitely one of my favorites. The staff is friendly and they've worked to create a vibe that is welcoming to all ages, genders, and fitness levels. I can get a hard workout in yet still feel comfortable bringing my teenage daughters in to do their thing.
