I really wish I didn’t have to leave this review because besides this experience I’ve been shooting at white birch with friends on different occasions and really enjoyed the atmosphere, and range and wide selection of firearms. But after a 10 hour day of work I was ready to spend my hard earned money at this store and was let down heavily and I’m very disappointed. I don’t want to leave this review with just bashing the business because I like to think I have good character but it really is worth noting that I had a very negative experience here tonight. I went in looking to buy a new (to me) concealed carry for everyday use and found one that I really liked, all the upgrades I wanted at a decent price. The problem occurred when I went to take the background test. Keep in mind everything’s current and I have no complications, no felonies, nothing like etc… and could easily pass any background test handed to me as I have purchasing firearms in the past years in New Hampshire. Now call me old fashioned, but I prefer to take these types of things on pen and paper but made an exception taking it on a tablet because it’s not a huge deal, or so I thought.. I did notice their tablet had very small font and was very glitchy and it was easy to misclick/ miss things in general, but when all was said and done I had misclicked one question (a very obvious one one buying a gun wouldn’t knowingly select no to) and because of that I was told by a newer worker (it seemed) he didn’t feel comfortable selling me a gun and I had to come back tomorrow? I wasn’t rude about it but definitely expressed my confusion. I don’t know what difference 24-48 hours would make… very confusing. But I think the worst of it wasn’t even the technical difficulties with their tablet, but rather the condescending attitude of the supervisor. For some reason he seemed it fit to tell me his schedule and how hard he works everyday when I mentioned I might have misclicked on that question (because the font was small and the tablet was glitchy) or just outright read it wrong because it had been long day at work. Just felt like a pissing match over who worked harder when I was just their to buy a tool for self defense in these crazy days after the election which is my right as an American. Very disappointed. Won’t be returning. Wish...
Read moreI went in last Saturday with my boyfriend and son for the first time to check it out, unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. My son is looking for either a 9mm or 45, we are looking for ammo, the associates were of no help, they were dismissive to all of us. We were cut off by the assistant manager when we asked about ammo, simply saying I don't know, no one does, no eye contact made and he turned away from us. When we FINALLY found someone to assist us in looking and handling a few guns from the case, he was arrogant regarding our questions, I asked to look at a certain piece when I handed it back I asked how much because there was no tag he replied "right around $400" THAT is not answer or an attitude of someone wanting to make a sale! I then asked about the ability to rent that gun for the range, he literally laughed at me and said smugly "You can't rent any of these, it's any of those on the wall" he then asked sharply is there was anything else? We did not ask him to show us a lot of pieces from the case, just TWO!! I went to other places when I bought other hand guns and spent over an hour holding piece after piece asking questions, the associates breaking down the gun and answering questions, not ONCE did ANY other place make me feel like I was bothering them the way I did at WBA. We all walked out with the same impression, and will not be back. I sent them an email about our experience before posting this review, it's been a week and no response/apology, just an automated...
Read moreVery informative and hands-on class experience. I had shot only once the .45 hand gun of my friend and it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I did not even hit the target at all. I thought pistols are not my thing. The H1 Training class at White Birch Armory changed my prospective on that.
Instructor Rebecca Bruhn tough us how to handle a gun in a safe manner, with hands on training covering everything from general firearms safety, handling and ownership, pistol and ammunition nomenclature, safe loading and unloading, proper gun and ammunition storage, fundamentals of shooting incl. grip, stance, sighting and accuracy to general cleaning, lubrication and maintenance as well as basic State laws. In addition to practice this new knowledge by shooting a gun at the range under the supervision of multiple range safety officers. There knowledge and hand's on help in correcting stance, grip, muzzle management and trigger finger safety, dry firing and trigger pull finally allowed me to place my shots not only on to the target. I was really hitting the target at the areas I was aiming for and that even at different distances. What a different experience that was than shooting my buddies firearm. It definitely changed my prospective on shooting firearms and I can absolutely recommend White Birch Armory for there training classes. I will come back for additional training classes and privat lessons in order to find the right pistol to buy for me...
