Our two boys (ages 4 and 6) loved this place. They would have gone through every train (there are quite a few), if we would have had more time to spend there. I found the place very interesting, as well. The model train exhibit was awesome. I look forward to returning when we have more time to spend there. The staff was very friendly, too.

My husband and I enjoyed the museum and the grand old trains. The people were very friendly. We were there to judge a SCA steak cook-off, competition. Seeing the museum was an added bonus.

Took my 2 year old son because he loves trains and everything about them. I was quite surprised how much he and I myself enjoyed the museum! We climbed on all sorts of trains and even got a train ride. We spent about 3 1/2 hours. Had a hard time leaving with the toddler as he wanted to stay longer! Definitely recommend this to all friends and family because it's been such a great experience. We will definitely be...

Southern Railroad Museum is the place to visit if you like to go back in time. Step inside Pullman coaches from the 30's and 40's. Steam locomotive and diesel engines. Antique collection of taxi's and delivery trucks.

You can take a train ride.
