Skyline Scenic Overlook — Local services in Duluth

Skyline Drive can be very beautiful depending on the time of year. Late Fall and Winter offer the best views with most of the leaves off the trees. Depending on the winter, the road may be closed in the Hawks Ridge area. If you take the drive, make certain to include the Seven Bridges Road. It is made up of narrow stone bridges on this gentle but winding road. We have driven these roads many times, and I wish the city would add more and larger directional signs. One of the best scenic drives in the state. Much better to be a passenger on this drive. Don't look at the beautiful views while you're driving or you'll drive off the cliff lol. Lots of places to pull over safely. The welcome center rest area has maps of the entire route or look up the route on Google to make sure you can go from beginning to end of the scenic drive. Very good place to visit in winters. Loved every moment spent here. Visited during Christmas and it is lovely. Must visit if you are in or around Minneapolis or nearby Duluth. Recommended to visit Bayfront park as well. There are other places in Duluth to visit including Gleeshen mansion...
