I got a bill from two years after the fact. I got a call one day from a company for a bill for Resource Medical Group. I said I haven't been there in two years. The caller asked how I wanted to pay right then or later and I said I'm going to call Resource Medical Group.I . So then I call Resource Medical Group and the lady who answered the phone said I could bring back my sleep machine and I wouldn't owe anything. I bring it back yesterday on 10/22/2018 and the lady working ask for my DOB. I give it to her. I explained that I got a call that I owe money two years later but was told if I brought back the machine I wouldn't owe anything. So then another employee ask me who I talked to and I said I don't know. I didn't think to write down a name. The first employee said that my charts was just one of those floating out there, when I said it had been two years. So this employee goes in the back for at least 15 minutes. Before that she calls me darling which came across very condescending. She comes back and says she has bad news that I own the machine now. I told her that it is not what I was told on the phone. She said the lady who answered the phone worked in customer service and not billing. That she should have transferred me to billing. I said that's not my fault and that I"m not paying for it. She tried to blame my insurance. But one employee said my chart was "floating" out there. Another says bring it back and I won't owe anything. This one says I own it now. I said that's not what I was told and to take it out of the employee's check that told me I could bring it back. I didn't ask for a 4th employee I figured no one knows what they are doing. So I nicely set down the machine and said I"m not paying for it. I could not believe they can stay in business with charts "floating", people not sure what's going on and then disappearing to the back for over 15 minutes to come back with some story. Sorry for any inconvenience? My health deserves more than that. I deserve more than that generic response. Yes, I am upset at the inadequate training I received. I did reach out with phone calls three different times for help, and one of my calls wasnât even returned!**
I did not get the support I needed for this new medical device. It felt like there was no patient care at all. This happened in December 2024.
I was new to CPAP this place did not give me the proper education on the use and care of the machine. When I picked it up, I was showed the basics on the machine and parts. The owner's manual was shown to me. I was shown various masks and asked which I wanted. I was asked if I had any questions. How was I supposed to know which mask I wanted without trying them on? I was told that I could try a different type in two weeks but couldn't go back and forth between the different options. I was completely overwhelmed. I did not receive a fitting for my choice.
Some parts need replaced in sooner than a month, but I was told that replacement parts don't get sent out until after a month of use. How is that hygienic?
I was overwhelmed with being prescribed a CPAP machine. I was overwhelmed before I even walked into the door at Resource Medical. I expected to be supported in this process, but I wasn't.

When Juanita brought my oxygen she was friendly and courteous. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything we needed to know in layman terms. She made sure that we were able to use the equipment properly. When she was finished. I was quite convenient that I was going to breathe easier. I also had the pleasure of working with Anne regarding portable oxygen. She has very excellent listening skills. She answered every question I had. She made me feel that being on oxygen wasnât the end of being active . I would still be able to hike and take long walks.
