I have been a customer of this store since 2017 and I have been consistently impressed, however Katie Norris went above and beyond the above and beyond yesterday. Management and ownership, take note, because it's people like Katie who make YOUR store the one to drive to from an hour away, just to receive great care. I've never received anything less than superior service at that location, but yesterday's experience just blew me away...so much so that I came back after shopping next door and gave Ms. Norris a tip for her devotion to my plight. See.....I'm GenX and gaming has changed just a tiny bit since my time as a Zelda/Hobbit/Kirby hero, so when my 9 yr old had a broken Switch and we needed to swap w the warranty, it was Katie who was the (un)lucky clerk at the counter. As a paranoid, overprotective helicopter mom, I wanted to make da* sure the old switch was wiped and the *new switch setup w all the parental controls just right (and also that the new one was clear of any previous owner's...ahem.....artifacts). She took the time to explain how this all worked, found a charger to charge the broken one....WAITED while it charged, then came the fun part....I couldn't get into my parental app on my phone to wipe the old one! So she gets customer service and gets a passcode for me, so we could reset my app. Then she wipes the old one and after all that, takes the time to setup the new one with all the proper settings so that we don't have any of the issues that have had me ready to yell, lately! She probably spent over an hour with me and was even incredibly kind to my daughter who is neurodivergent and doesn't do well with long waits. I am so grateful for humans like Katie. Read moreI would give this place a 0 star if I could. Went into this location today to purchase a A50 Astro headset. I knew this headset was expensive but it’s what I wanted. I was charged $299.99 plus tax but on the box it was priced at $249.99. Before I left the store I noticed it and asked them to refund me the difference. Sara told me that because I already paid the $299.99 that nothing could be done. After a little back and forth of the situation she went to the manager and they only offered to give me a year warranty on the device, which I previously declined from the initial sale.

Read moreEarlier this week I had purchased a preowned ps5 from Priscilla, the one she had sold me was one she was actively cleaning when I walked in, when I noticed this I had raised concerns of it possibly not working properly she in turn was very assertive and guaranteed it was basically brand new and would work I hesitantly bought it, brought it home and it would not read disc for 30-40 minutes, I thought it was a game so I tried a brand new game and it did the same thing. Needless to say I was very disappointed and will not be going back to the Erwin GameStop to purchase anything, I am better off buying games and systems from the Walmart next to them.
