Waffle House — Restaurant in Dunn

I went in and ordered a pattymelt on Texas toast with a double order of Hashbrowns scattered smothered covered and topped. They show up to my table with a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomatoes. I didn't order it and lettuce on my burger makes me sick. I ask for them to remake it. The cook spouted off didn't he want a deluxe. I told him no I wanted a patty melt on Texas toast. They just made toast and moved over the meat and cheese all while my hashbrowns got cold. So I got hot Texas toast with a beat up burger because the cook was mad and luckly I got chili on my hashbrown otherwise they would have been ice cold. My daughter ordered the All Star with raisin toast. They forgot the raisin toast and we are still waiting on our waffle. I was frustrated I just paid and left. I worked all day and didn't get a lunch and finally get to go eat a late meal with my daughter and even after they went over my order twice when taking it. It was almost all wrong. I don't expect five star service but getting my order somewhat right should be a given. Makes me regret not just eating Mcds or Burger King better chance at getting...

We usually go on Sundays after church. Lately the last 3 or 4 times we have been the jukebox music was so loud, it was like being in a nightclub. There were songs I liked and did not like, but hated hearing so loud in a grill trying to eat my lunch. There is a place and time for this and it is not in a small diner. If nothing else they should not be allowed to have it so loud. Last week when we went the waitresses were playing their own favorite songs very loud. We had to literally yell to each other to hear what we were saying during the whole meal. The waitress could not hear us order our food without coming beside us and leaning down to our face to hear what we wanted to eat. The food is great, but the experience is not worth the good food. Time to go to fb and let my friends and friends of friends know to stay away unless you like loud nightclub music while you eat. The service was GREAT, but not worth going back for...

Horrible experience today! I am aware that Waffle House is far from nice and most people that eat there including myself have low expectation for this restaurant due to their track record but I had no clue that it could get this bad. My husband and I walked out without even ordering our food.

We walked in and literally stood at the door for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. My husband had to walk up to the counter to ask to be seated and was told to “give me a minute”.

A worker who “cleaned” a table off for us wiped the table with a filthy dripping wet towel that was brown from filth.

The waiter brought us visibly dirty utensils.

Our last straw was the waitress getting an attitude with me for asking for plastic utensils (I asked kindly). She yanked the filthy utensils off of the table and walked off mumbling under her breath. At this point my husband and I stood up and went across the street...
