Fireworks World — Local services in Durant

This by far is the best place for a huge selection of all the newest fireworks for the year. The prices can't be beat, and with a no dud policy you get what you pay for ( the best ) The owners are so wonderful, and believe in giving back to an awesome program. Each year they employ the highly decorated, most award winning Pride of Durant to sell their product at the Calera, and Durant location. This makes it possible for many of the 200 strong band to pay for band, and trip fees that they otherwise may have not been able to afford. With today's budget cuts in our schools the arts program is always the first to see the cut in funding, Fireworks World has been a huge lifesaver to many kids planning a future in music. I can't imagine giving my money to any other place than to a business who loves, and supports the kids in our community! While you shop you are sure to be greeted by band kids, band parents, and the amazing woman who helps run the show! Not only does she know the answer to every answer you may have, she gives selflessly of her time for 3 weeks to be with all these kids to ensure they make the best possible sale, and teaches them about how to interact with the public!!! I have been coming to Fireworks World for the past 5 years, at least, for Diwali fireworks. I have recommended this place to others and have been very happy with the fireworks I have gotten.

However, this year (2021) was the unfortunate exception. I went and purchased a Diwali kit for $95 and was very disappointed with it. I had purchased a similar kit last year (2020) for a similar price and was very happy with that one as it had a lot of neat fountains and spinners, in addition to other stuff like sparklers.

However, this year, all the kit had was one big fountain and a few other fountains that were at best mediocre. The kit seemed loaded with sparklers. It wasn't an enjoyable experience because the good fireworks finished in no time. No one really cares a lot about sparklers.

I feel kit was overpriced. I don't mind spending the money if at the end, I am satisfied. But I did not get that feeling this year.

Please improve your kit...

I am a Dallas resident looking for fireworks when I ran across Fireworks World's website. I called Jim and he so was so friendly even though I was initially going to buy just a few fireworks. A week later I drove up to Calera and met with Jim. I have been to a firework stand but never to a store. Wow...what a selection of fireworks!!
