Unprofessional, Disrespectful, Combative and rude is what I will say for Jeovani Ramos the Sales Manager at United Granite out of the Durham office. Weeks ago this guy helped my wife and I s we are redoing our kitchen countertops. He referred us to several granite suppliers and today We were able to check a couple of these suppliers out. One supplier with a great selection was very helpful. At the end of our visit the salesperson "Angela" said that both United Granite and myself would receive the email with our selections and then United Granite could proceed with pricing. Several hours later I placed a call to this Jeovani Ramos and right from "hello" he came off abrupt and rude. He sated that the supplier lied about sending the email and said "that's what they do". When I asked if he was going to, at the very least check his emails, he stated rudely that "I'll get back to you in a day or two" which I responded "so you're not going to check now?" He continued on unprofessionally and tried to cut me off so much so that I hung up. He called back and I said that he was rude and I was not going to be treated in that matter. Again he replied with a nasty attitude and I hug up again. He tried to call back again Can you believe that?) but this time I did not answer so he decides to text me. to which I responded in text that his customer service skills suck... that if you had a customer why did you pick up the phone...and that I would not be spending my $1,000s with his company. He responds by text that... "before I talk about customer service I should look at the way I talk to people"... excuse me Am I not the customer who is attempting to spend money with your company??? If this is the type of person that United Granite uses to represent them and lead them (his title is sales manager) then my money will go to another company that knows how to provide professional...
Read moreWe purchased quartz kitchen counters from United Granite and had them installed by their team. The stone is beautiful and we love how they’re holding up! It was also very close to the same price we were originally quoted, which is rare in home projects!
Our communications with UG themselves were lovely, but the team they sent to install the counters did not match the level of professionalism we had come to expect. They were significantly late, and when they encountered a minor hiccup in their install, they got quite rude and eventually stormed outside, saying they would just “leave us to do it ourselves”. After chatting with the UG office, the contractor came back in, made an adjustment that took fewer than 10 minutes, and completed the job. They did not make eye contact or speak with us for the rest of the day, which was uncomfortable, but preferable to the previous aggressive tone.
A similar situation occurred with the plumber who visited to reconnect the sink/dishwasher. When asked if everything had gone alright, he seemed irritated and in a rush. Before he left, we found standing water in the dishwasher, and he was very annoyed when we asked him to take a second look. Again, that situation was easily resolved and seemed to be well within the scope of work for what he had been hired to do.
We were assured by UG that using their contractors was in our best interest - that they couldn’t guarantee work done by someone else, and having an outside contractor would increase the cost. Despite the fact that the end result is beautiful, next time, we will use our own pros who are known to be both...
Read moreIt is never easy to renovate a kitchen, especially a very large one, with three sinks and three large counters. I talked to several stone fabricators and found that United Granite had the most extensive choice in brands of quartz. I wanted the natural look of Marble, but the warranty and durability of quartz. When my husband and I went in for a visit, Orcun was very-very helpful and put us at ease while answering all of our questions. He had a strong grasp of all of the brands warranties and differences. After a brief description of the desired look, he quickly pulled out six gorgeous choices from which we narrowed down. When it came to fabrication we had a complicated island, Orcun spent a great deal of time working to get the perfect layout of the overhang and angles. We were also worried about the seam, but in the end it was not noticeable, the planning for where it would fall and the install execution was ideal. The night before the stone delivery Orcun personally came to the house to supervise the large porcelain sinks instillations. He spent a lot of time overseeing details. The day of delivery came and it all fit beautifully. Every corner, curve and line was ideal. It was all so good that we did full height backsplash to match! Estimates were very close and United Granites pricing was competitive with other fabricators in the Triangle. Orcun also helped us with two beautiful marble slabs for our guest bathrooms. We are now planning a master bath remodel and will be using United...
