Downtown University owns over a hundred private apartments for students of UNH. In this new world of technology having a “real” person to communicate with is simply rare. Even more so is some who is professional has the knowledge to answer any question, personable & just at cares. This person is Liz Comeau, General Manager of Downtown University. I honestly do not know how she does it. I’ve know her over a year communicating by email mostly. I’ve met her a couple of times in person always greeting you with a smile and asking how everything is going. These are your most precious people in your world, your children. These properties are secure with cameras, security is strong and maintained well. Ms. Comeau does not miss a step. Emails always go out to give parents and students advance notice in all areas whether it’s time to move in or out. Or a schedule maintenance or pizza night. As a courtesy will always send a friendly reminder just to make sure. We all have such busy lives and I can say from first hand experience those reminders help. If you have any question or concern she is available. This is our second year with Downtown U. I have to say Liz is a part of that choice . Liz is 100% dedicated to her work and making your student’s life at college that much more special. Again, I don’t know how she does it. Everyone should have a...
Read moreLived here during 2021-2022, and I just had to write a review about them. By far the best apartment to live in on campus. Super cozy but spacious, has extremely high ceilings, AC/Heat, and to top it off it’s walking distance from all my Paul classes.
There’s a huge list of things that make university downtown stand out from other places, but in a nutshell it starts with great people and a great environment. All the staff are extremely kind and generous, and the maintenance workers have fixed issues I have had hours after I text them! The amenities in this place must be mentioned. There’s a brand new gym, brand new study lounge area, as well as a roof with a brand new installed turf floor, making it a beautiful chill spot when it warms up during the year. A full laundry room, mail room, and trash disposal all within the premise of the building.
Whoever lives here in the future will be really lucky as the spots for rent are high demand and get sold out quickly. Definitely a 5 star place though. Super sad my rent ended and would definitely live here...
Read moreThe apartment itself is nice. I was in apartment 302B at university downtown. It is a bit overpriced for how much space you have. However, it is close to downtown so grocery shopping and going out to eat is easy. Although, on the weekends at night it's really loud on the street and my apartment happen to be facing the main road. The fact that this unit faces sigma nu is something to be considered. Great place if you like to go out, too loud of you aren't into that. However, the land lord is very attentive and will go to extreme lengths to help you and satisfy your needs. Also the maintenance worker was very nice and maintenance issues are fixed usually the day after you send in a maintenance issue (which is very fast in my opinion). The gym is also a very nice feature and was highly appreciated. I used it often and got a good workout from it. Overall, a very nice place to live. Especially compared to other student apartments. Wouldn't have wanted my first apartment to be...
