Platt's Farm Market — Local services in East Greenwich Township

I've been shopping with Platt's for several years now and have always loved the quality and selection of their plants. I bought a fruiting cherry tree from them last year that I'm absolutely in love with! It went into shock, its first year in my yard, and I was heartbroken. When I called Platt's and described the trees' condition, they were very friendly and professional. I don't remember the gentleman's name that I spoke to, but he was very knowledgeable about the trees they had in their yard and even remembered the specific tree that I was calling about! He recommended a treatment over the phone and told me that if that didn't work, they would refund me a large percentage of the price of the tree. I want to come back in the summer on a busy weekend to give this place a better chance. Everyone on the plant facebook group I'm in talks about this place being fun, and having lots of great plants. I pulled up this morning (granted, Friday at 9am right before spring) and was confused on if they were open. I parked, walked around awkwardly for 10 minutes looking at the animals and trying to find plants. I did finally run into a worker and they told me one greenhouse was open - I get that, it's barely spring and I wasn't expecting a ton of outdoor plants. Staff was very rude. We were shopping for something specific. When we came back a second time, the owner said, "No...you wear me out you know where it is. I'm not helping." We had a tree tagged to be delivered. We were told 3 different times someone will call in a couple days. So we waited. No phone call. We went down to see if tree was still there. The guy behind the counter said "We will in a couple days." I said, "Yeah that's what we keep hearing." The owner came out and we tried to explain why we were unhappy. He said "It'll get delivered when it gets delivered. I'm not talking about it." And walked away. We ended up going somewhere else where the staff was friendly and much more helpful.
