Garden Path Soap — Local services in East Lampeter Township

I visited Garden Path Soap last October 2023 at the recommendation of an Amish woman. I bought several products which I loved. This month August 2024 I bought 2 Lavender Dream Balm as well as other products I had bought previously. This visit was disappointing. I absolutely loved the smell of the Lavender Dream Balm I bought last year. I used it every night to go to sleep. It worked!! When I opened the new bottles 2 weeks later I noticed that the smell was totally different in both . The scent smelled faint and not at all as potent as the one I'd bought last year in October. I called the owner who did a snuff test of what they had they in the store and said it smelled ok. She suggested I send the bottles back because I live out of state, and she would sniff test them . So I did. She said they smelled ok and were the scent they were used to. I am going to request a refund because my nose remembers what the scent was I'd been smelling for almost a year. I feel the formula has definitely changed to a much weaker one. It smells nothing like the Lavender Dream Balm from last year. I am so disappointed because I loved it and it worked. This is a must stop soap and bath company in Lancaster. I buy hundreds of dollars in soaps every year and I am thrilled with the quality and consistency of these products!! I purchased bar soaps,bath bombs and their magnesium lotion. They also make really beautiful molded soaps which are some of the most scented soaps I've ever tried. I visit the shop quite regularly, and it is truly a hidden gem! It smells amazing upon entering and all of the products are hand made, using essential oils and not harmful chemicals. And everything smells so wonderful! The lotions don't leave behind any residue on your skin, nor do the soaps.
